SInce Beyonce is blowing up with her song "Déjà Vu," let's talk about another one. I've always loved this song, pretty much defines the word smooth. The music was written by Isaac Hayes, hit #15 on the pop chart, #1 AC, #25 R&B. She also won the Best Female R&B Vocal Grammy for this one.

To be honest, I can't even deal with the sound of her voice. She just screams dated AC cheese to me. I prefer her much older songs like "Walk On By" and "Don't Make Me Over" if I had to choose favorites.

Yeah, I definately prefer her Bacharach/David hits, those are obviously her classics.
This is easily one of the best things from her Arista years though.

Much better then "I'll Never Loved This Way Again". Now that is some AC cheese mess. This is a nice song.
