I liked this song when it came out, because it embraced a few genres...pop, urban, and even dance. After endless rotation on Z100 and KTU, including what was the song's definitive low note with the "Roc Ya Body on KTU" remix, I was done and done. Now I don't mind it in small doses. The video was pretty scandalous.

Heh, just rediscovered this in the past week. Completely mindless fun that brings back lots of memories, nice to hear it again out of nowhere. Stagga Lee had a horrific flow, though. After endless rotation on Z100 and KTU, including what was the song's definitive low note with the "Roc Ya Body on KTU" remix, I was done and done. I have to debate this point. The song's unquestionable low point was its feature in a commercial for - ready for this? - JCPenney. Seriously. I remember hearing this song blasting from downstairs one day and wondering who the hell was playing it, and I was certainly stunned when I discovered the source.
