I can't believe 2005's Lumidee/Nina Sky is going to be 2006's Mariah/Gwen/Kelly. No she's not... pfft!

LMAO I just heard this for the first time on the radio, and they edited the "gun" part.

She is, even if she is doing well this time. I definaqtly think she's escaped the random dancehall chick image. She's just about a full blown superstar. Minus the album sales.

I dont get why she can't sell albums. People like her...just in the past week alone, my aunt (who is 42) said she loves her (Rihanna), she thinks she's cute, as did my cousin who is 17, and last night even some friends who are my age (22) were like "How cute is she?" (talking about Rihanna when SOS came on).
I mean, obviously these people like her, but are not willing to buy her album.

They like her image wise but not too keen on the music side. The singles she released have been fun dance music. Until "Unfaithful" really blow up to be a smash, people then will take her seriously.

From Fred Bronson:
The underlines sentence really rubs me the wrong way. He makes it sound like SOS wasn't a "hit" until the week it went to #1 on the Hot 100, when in reality it was just an arbitrary date in the songs radio life determined by the label sending the song for download.

I'm probably alone on this, but I think this song is terrible. She should stick to making the uptempo stuff.

I hated it but it's not that bad. It's actually a great song but i can't stand her voice, it kills the song for me.

Tony Moran's mix is great for late night mixshows. I can even see some stations playing it in daytime rotation. It definitely makes the song more interesting for people who think it's boring. It's very anthematic.

I just saw the video for the first time. She looks incredible. She always looks better in her videos than she does out in public. I saw a bit of her on BET yesterday, and she didn't look that great.

I think the thing that I hate about this song is that you can tell it really wasn't made for her to sing. it would be better for someone who can actually sing it with some authority and emotion.
