I thought "If it's lovin' that you want" just missed the top 10--- no wait, i guess it just barely made it in? anyway, yeah this is doing great
it's up to #4 on iTunes, which is a big jump after basically sitting at #9 for a few weeks, and the bullet at Pop (and to a lesser extent radio) has really come on strong again. I can see this making it top 5 hot 100. has she picked 3rd single yet??

Break it Off is the next single, and IILTYW peaked at #8 I think.

I hear a remix now that adds a little more bass and I like it more.

So true. Give this song to a more able vocalist, and it could've been HOT; even Britney would've done this song justice.

LMAO @ the EW review! I'm also getting tired of this song already. Speaking of Britney, everytime Rihanna makes that "truewwwwww" sound in this song, it reminds me of Britney singing on Star Search.

Hate on it all you want, but this is already a second hit for her, she's on a roll. Third single will probably do better since it'll be another up tempo.

I dont like how she's comparing herself to a murderer...that is slightly too dramatic, IMO

I think it's ridiculous too, but most teenage girls blow things way out of proportion so I think it works.

Right.. one day I was listening to this song, and I had listened to it a number of times before but one day it just struck me, as I really listened to the lyrics, like...is she serious? LOL

Tony Moran's mix is great for late night mixshows. I can even see some stations playing it in daytime rotation. It definitely makes the song more interesting for people who think it's boring. It's very anthematic. Z100 is playing it now.

Why is this doing better than "SOS" at Rhythmic? SOS sounded way more Rhythmic-friendly, and that couldn't even go Top 10.

Yeah I was wondering that too .. SOS peaked at like #16 on Rhythmic, and this is #10.

SOS was too poppy for the Urban-leaning stations, look how little SOS got played at the Urban format. But this is less so, and actually is taking off at Urban some now--- and that's going to help it in a bit further into the top 10 on the Hot 100, I think because it's still going pretty strong and Pop & Rhythmic, the boost from Urban can help get it to #6 or #7 as long as downloads don't completely fall out.

I think its hard to compare SOS to this...they are completely different styles of music. SOS was more poppy true, but thats not a reason why Rhythmic shouldnt have played it more. Rhythmic is all about the high energy music as well, and Rihanna is a black female...that song was MASSIVE. There's really no excuse why Rhythmic should not have made SOS Top 10 and they made Unfaithful chart higher.

It's so funny because everybody I know LOVES this song but they're like "she can't sing for sh*t!" lol. It's kinda cool that the song is so strong people can try to ignore that she sounds a total mess on it.
