Goes for adds on March 27.
This has become their biggest hit in eleven years on the Hot 100. I doubt the success will really carry over to CHR/Pop though. Besides their age, I just can't see any of the non-adult leaning pop stations playing this one. I wouldn't be surprised if it makes an appearance inside in the Top 50 though.

at this being a bigger Hot 100 hit than "It's my Life." That just doesn't seem very accurate or something.

Probably because they played the hell out of "It's My Life" in New Jersey and haven't touched this one yet. What was even weirder to me is that "Have A NIce Day" was a bigger Hot AC hit than "It's My Life".

I hate the Bon Jovi version. Jennifer Nettles, as I've said before, makes this song. A little info on the video: SHOT: Bon Jovi - Jeff Labbe, director A dog tries to find its way home in this new video for Bon Jovi's "Who Says You Can't Go Home?" The twist? The pooch is six feet tall and walks on its hind legs. Shooting began at a recent Bon Jovi gig in Phoenix and has continued in and around Los Angeles. artist: Bon Jovi song: "Who Says You Can't Go Home" label: Island Def Jam director(s): Jeff Labbe production co: @radical.media www.videostatic.com/vs/2006/week11/index.html

I love it! It's way too country for pop. But I can't get enough of this song.

So they're shooting another video for this song in addition to the Habitat For Humanity one?

I guess it makes sense. I didn't see this song even making the Hot 100 and now it's their biggest hit in over a decade. They might as well try to push the pop version now and see how much further it can go.
I wonder how "Welcome To Wherever You Are" will do as the third single. I actually thought it had the most potential to do what this song is doing for them. I could see it being their "How Do You Love" (Collective Soul) though. Everyone thought it sounded vintage enough and radio friendly enough to become the big hit (atleast at Hot AC) from the album and it actually became the least successful single which may have been because the album flopped and was well over a year old by the time the single was released. We might see the same here just on a grander scale.

This is #56 with a triple digit bullet. It looks like it will atleast outperform "Have A Nice Day" at CHR/Pop.

Top 50 CHR/Pop smash! It's their first in over three years. I thought Have A Nice Day should have made it onto the pop chart. Oh well, this song is good too.

This song is unbelievably bland and boring. I thought "Have A Nice Day" was bland, but whoa. They're getting pretty apathetic in their "older" age. If they don't pull an Aerosmith within 5 years...Resaurant Retired Novelty would like to welcome Bon Jovi. And really, nothing's wrong with that...hell, after 20+ years and they're successes (national and international)...I certainly don't blame them.

"welcome to wherever you are" will be the 3rd straight hot ac top 10. "Have A Nice Day" is my 3rd fav Bon Jovi song of all time!!!!

My opinion is that the song is totally unexciting, but agree that I minimized their album and single "successes," both commercially and chartwise, in my post. Nevertheless, I feel in some kind of way that Bon Jovi's success "on paper" so to speak, isn't a true representation of the hype and buzz that they could potentially have. In my personal experience with their latest stuff...no one, at least in my age group, is saying, "man, you hear that new Bon Jovi track? Who says you can't go home? Sick, dude." Same went with "Have A Nice Day." I think for bands of their sheer powerhouse caliber, all the diehard and casual fans will purchase on principle to support them, no matter how good nor bad their work is, and numbers will be inflated as a result. Even radio gives them an honorable nod...HAND last year made Z100's top 100, but quite frankly, it got about 5 plays a week for a few nonconsecutive months. BJ's "grown-up," in a manner of speaking. Their original fans are mature now, and so are they; as a result, their music, in speaking to that group, reflects differently upon the younger audiences -- who still get that massive rise when it's 1:55am on Thursday College Night at the local bar and the opening chords to Livin On A Prayer begin to play.

It looks like at the very least, this should be their biggest CHR/Pop hit since "Thank You For Loving Me".
