This is a now a "guilty pleasure". I still think its too corny, but it does have a nice hook. It looks like KIIS Los Angeles and Salt Lake City are trying to make this a smash hit. If KZHT was my pop station, I'd throw my radio out the window. That station is HORRIBLE.

If KZHT was my pop station, I'd throw my radio out the window. That station is HORRIBLE. LOL, I'm surprised it took people so long to figure that out. When I was in SLC in the summer of 2004, I loved ZHT. Everything about them was great, including the music. It was very balanced and they weren't afraid to take chances on *good* new records. They were sort of like Utah's version of Z100. Now, they are CRAP. After following their playlist for a few months, I streamed them back in May and was baffled at how awful they sound. They still take chances on new records, but they all seem to be completely random rhythmic garbage. Occasionally they managed to become hits (see Cherish and this), but sometimes it makes no sense (Eamon? Chingy? and the numerous other WTF records at the bottom of their playlist). Sorry for the mini-rant, it just bothers me when perfectly good radio stations go to sh*t. Anyway, I'm surprised at the success this is having too. It's looking to outpeak "Doing Too Much", and I guess it's better than that, but I'm sort of indifferent towards this. |
