You have to remember her people/record company submits the songs so it is their/her fault.

She can still submit it for the next Grammy's can't she? Only if she loses the Best Contemporary R&B Album award.

If she wins for best contemp R&B album (which is almost certain) she can only submit it to the major catergories like song and record of the year and by next year it will be so old probably wouldn't stand a chance.

Well, although it peaked later, "Be Without You" came out late 2005. It's kind of a similar situation.

Her misstep was sending Listen to pop when she should have sent Irreplaceable.

Her misstep was sending Listen to pop when she should have sent Irreplaceable. Definately a moronic move.

Though since it is Yonka and company, they probably figured if they could get Listen nominated at the Grammys it would probably double over as promo for Dreamgirls/Oscar campaign.

I think they were under the technicality of the soundstrack coming out past the deadline hence they couldn't since it was only on Beyonce's album at the time.

This is the second Beyonce song to do that...COI was the first one... Mary J didn't cross the 200 M-mark with "Be without You" shocking.
