I don't think I have listened to this song in full and thoroughly enjoyed it since maybe October.
I definitely havent listened to it in full on the radio, EVER.

i don't hate her, but I think Beyonce is extremely overhyped in virtually every aspect. here i can say it and joke around without being jumped on. then again, I like Christina

I still think she's kind of overrated, but I also have to say that her music is really mature now , she made a great second album, she always releases radio-friendly songs, she's taking risks with her videos and she's really smart too. She deserves this level of success.

Proof that this song is just a little overexposed?
I saw my little 4 year old cousin yesterday and she greets me saying "to the left to the left... this song is stuck on my brain."

I was at Target this afternoon shopping for a printer, and in the electronics section someone turned up the radio when this song came on, and then an employee got yelled at by his boss because he was shouting "To The Left, To The Left".
I thought the whole thing was really weird but after about 30 seconds I was head bopping and humming along to it and sort of glad it happened.

Beyonce has now moved into the list of top ten artists with the most weeks at #1, tying Paul McCartney for tenth place.

Well Boyz II Men are fourth place. LOL!
You just have to take into account that in the 50's, 60's, and 70's, many of your legends would be considered to have a huge hit on their hands if they could get an entire month at #1. Now that's your average #1. It's not really fair to compare them on a list, but it's a fun fact anyway!

Well Boyz II Men are fourth place. LOL! Yep I was about to chime in and say that Boyz II Men were even higher. lol When you take that into consideration, it's not a bad thing at all that Beyonce is in the top 10.

I think Boyz II Men were bigger in the early and mid 90's than Beyonce is now. Although, it's hard to say because their success was compacted into a few years will Beyonce's is more sporadic and spread out.

That is pretty gross, still. I mean of ALL TIME? This broad who accumulated 3/4 of those weeks by singing about checking on her ass or blowin some bubble gum compared to LEGENDS like Paul McCartney and the like?

You know what... I think Boyz II Men DEFINITELY were more popular in their heydey than Beyonce is now. "End Of the Road," "I'll Make Love To You," "On Bended Knee," "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday," and "Motownphilly" are all classics now. Their album II is one of the best selling R&B albums of all time. Most of Beyonce's recent hits are already forgotten. "Baby Boy" is just a memory now and "Check On It" won't hold up at all. As of now, I think "Crazy In Love" and "Irreplaceable" will be her only solo singles to stand the test of time.

But even still, out of her songs Irreplaceable is the only one with some 'meaning' if you can say that. Even Crazy in Love is nonsense. At least all those Boyz II Men songs are classic and are actually talking about something meaningful.

Ehh... I'd consider most of Boyz II Men's hits totally forgotten and not well known by young kids today. Maybe "I'll Make Love To You" and "End Of The Road" but that's about it. I definitely don't think they cemented a real place in history aside from chart success.

Yeah, but that doesn't really say much considering the people that work on that show were among the Boyz II Men demo when they were popular.

At least all those Boyz II Men songs are classic and are actually talking about something meaningful. Songs don't have to be meaningful revolutionary landmarks to be classics. And like Josh said, Boyz II Men are pretty much nostalgia now. I mean seriously, the last time I heard any of their songs was on a re-run of VH1's I Love The 90's
