You know I have to say this song doesn't bother me in the sense that i know it is a reject , so there is nothing to expect great in that sense. Hopefully, she can do a great video to offset the weirdness and quirkiness of this song. I know she is capable of much better, and hopefully she can deliver some great material on this new album. She is a million times better than Fergie who is downright obnoxious and annoying. The one redeeming factor is that Gwen is the leading lady of No Doubt which sh*ts all over the Peas with their leading ho Fergie.

Gwen as a solo artist right now it's pure crap!!! when she's with ND she can kick Fergie's butt but when it comes to make annoying songs and yet still being enjoyable then Fergie wins.

I would say Fergie is less than enjoyable. How she gets radio play i don't know especially over superior songs like Man Eater. Aside from annoying people to death what does Fergie have really?

Yeah, Gwen with No Doubt obviously trumps Fergie. But as a solo artist, Gwen is so overrated, and gets way more credit than she deserves.

I admit Gwen gets more credit than she deserves as a solo artist granted I love Gwen alone for her videos, but I would still take her over Fergie any day of the week.

Aside from annoying people to death what does Fergie have really? Gwen is SOOOO annoying as a solo artist...LAMB was all about her buying stupid expensive things and going to japan with her harajuku girls and saying this sh*t is bananas....so please!!!!

I think Gwen was more adventurous with her album. Eventhough I don't like a lot of the songs on the album, and lately I find her overexposed and underwhelming, I still think that she strives to do something different (whether it's sucesful or not) and I kinda get a "follower" vibe from Fergie. There's far less substance in her music, as well. Gwen might have the dumb songs, but she also has the ability to connect emotionally to the listener when she's on her game. I haven't really felt that from Fergie (in both BEP and solo stuff).

I never said Gwen wasn't annoying in fact I just said before she got more credit than she deserved as a solo artist; however, i won't pretend that i didn't enjoy LAMB she did have some great songs like Cool, Serious, Real Thing, WYWF, Bubble Pop Electric on them. I never said Gwen talked about anything incredibly serious on her album; she made it quite clear when she released it it was supposed to be a fun dance album.

the thing is that when she is a solo artist she doesn't try very much to "connect" with the listener!!! as i said before gwen with ND is good but gwen as a solo artist leaves to much to be desired.

I don't know.
I personally found "Cool" just as satisfying as the best No Doubt songs, and I certainly think it's one of the most heartfelt-without-being-phony tracks she's ever recorded. (Unlike a good deal of Return of Saturn, which for me was very contrived and forced-feeling)

i think "Cool" was amazing but that album had few great quality tracks. And i love Return of Saturn.

I completely disagree with that. I don't think anyone who has actually listened to the album would agree. The problem is, from an artistic viewpoint, Gwen and her record company knew what would sell and that's what they released off the album, not the higher quality stuff.

But most people would argue that WYWF and Cool were the two most lauded tracks by critics and fans, and they underperformed compared to the critically panned songs that were released.

I don't see how that makes her any different from Fergie who as of yet has tried to get a hit without being annoying? The only difference between Gwen and Fergie is that Gwen has many more things that make her likeable such as fronting No Doubt, a great fashion sense and great personality.

There's no arguing the critically acclaimed songs didn't do half as well as the panned ones. And yes, Gwen tried to release the tracks that would have been considered good by ND-era fans, but there's a reason the single releases were 4:2 in favour of the panned songs - they're the ones that caught on with the public. Ya, Gwen tried after HG with "Cool," but that failed so they went with something more 00s.

I loathe all of Fergie's singles, but they all beat out this load of sh*t.

Exactly, Gwen may have gotten hits via annoying songs, but at least she attempted to change things up with WYWF, Crash, and Cool even though they didn't fare as well for her at least she tried doing less annoying songs/better songs.

Her work as a songwriter makes me respect her a great deal too.

okay now again i have to separate the two gwens when we talk about her songwriting...the lyrics of LAMB were pure CRAP...and "Wind it up" is not helping her either.

Her work as a songwriter makes me respect her a great deal too. Yeah, thats a major difference, I feel with Gwen it's all her, whereas with Fergie someone (probably Will.i.am) just saw HBG and thought "oh, so THATS what works at the moment"

I'm not going to argue the merits of Fergie Ferg, because she's not all that to me either, but she's just more likable to me these days. She seems to have a better sense of humor about the whole thing.
It probably has to do with the fact that I don't expect much from Fergie, but given Gwen's material with No Doubt, I definately expect more from her.
