what scares me is that they're assuming "Lips of an Angel" will be around for 4 more months before they need to send a new single out.

February 13? That's 2 and a half months from now. They are going to wait that long to put out the follow-up to "Lips Of An Angel"?

*pukes* this is boring. I doesn't get interesting until the climax but it still sucks.

I am sick of having a single immediately follow another one on the chart. How about a little time between singles? Plus, given the 2 week Christmas break, February 13 isn't that far away for this single to be released. The song will likely have around 9000 spins by the end of this week. It will need to lose about 6000 spins to falll below #20. I doubt it will average -1000 every week for 6 weeks.

This should be re-named: "(Anything Is) Better Than Me This"

I think this is the song we're dancing to for ballet this year...

I think this is the song we're dancing to for ballet this year... But the lead singer of Hinder thinks dancing is for fairies! Maybe somebody can contact them so he can put a stop to this abomination to his art!

Be my guest. I'm not too happy about the song choice but whatever anything is better than our original song "Far Away," by Nickelback...

I haven't heard this in full, and frankly I have no desire to, but just for kicks I listened to the 30-second clip from iTunes. I think Austin Winkler might have the worst voice I have ever heard in my life. The clip jumps straight into the hook, and I could barely even sit through that.

The clip is up at All Access. You guessed it, it sucks. The chorus is actually the worst part of the song. In terms of the melody, it somewhat reminds me of a cross between "Lips Of The Devil" and the acoustic version of Crossfade's "Cold". A choice lyric: "If there's one memory I don't want to lose / That time at the mall / You and me in the dressing room". I wish I was making that up It's definitely better than "Get Stoned", maybe better (for lack of a better term) than "Lips Of An Angel" except that one had a superior chorus. Check it out if you dare: mms://66.186.0.101/allaccess/hindbett.wma

Yeah, this is a slight (and I mean very slight) improvement over "Lips Of A Vagina," but it's still putrid. His vocals are beyond terrible.

Why does everyone (especially on this board) hate Hinder so much? They're not that bad.

In general, I'd say I'm pretty against corporate metal although I like some hits by a few of the crossover bands. Hinder are one of the most atrocious crossover corporate metal bands I can think of though. The lead singer's voice blows and their lyrics are totally juvenile and embarassing.

I fully agree with both of the two above comments. No offense meant, irice, but I think the hate for Hinder is absolutely warranted. I have yet to hear a record that even remotely sounds quality from them. Everything of theirs that I have heard is complete crap, including this.

The vocals, the lyrics, the delusional belief that they are god's answer to rock... it's a collective sh*ttiness that is impossible to not hate.

The vocals, the lyrics, the delusional belief that they are god's answer to rock... it's a collective sh*ttiness that is impossible to not hate. You completely nailed it. There is nothing likable about these clowns. I actually tried naming a positive trait of theirs tonight. The only thing I could think of was the fact that I really do believe they love rock music, want it to be successful, and want to put out quality rock themselves. But I can't even give them that for a number of reasons. 1) Their understanding of what rock and roll is is so distorted that they're clueless. Rock is about being different and sounding good at the same time. It's not all about getting laid and getting smashed/stoned. 2) They can't even do the above correctly. Granted, it's not an easy feat to put out a quality version of non-stop sex and drugs "rock and roll", but that doesn't excuse them for sucking musically in every regard. 3) In order to be successful, they put out wussy crap like "Lips of An Angel". Yeah, you're so bad ass. 4) They feel the need to "look" and "act" like a "true rock and roll band" in every regard. This includes looking like total pricks in interviews and ripping on other bands for no reason whatsoever. See what I mean?
