What I love is that everyone thought the "ella ella ay ay" part was so dumb and shouldn't be in the song, but that's the one part of the song that EVERYONE sings when this comes on. They knew what they were doing.

^Kind of reminds me of Irreplaceable and how most people hated the "to the left to the left". Which eventually became its catch phrase. lol

Never underestimate the power of a good catchphrase.

I was actually really surprised when I just checked Mediabase and realized that this will never get to #1 on Pop.

They probably would have gotten a #1 with this if they didn't send "Shut Up And Drive" for adds like 5 weeks after this one went for adds.

Wow, I thought it had been. What a loser. LOL. Seriosuly though... this song is huge and the summer's biggest hit and all. At the same time, it's not AS huge as people make it out to be. It got to #1 at Urban, but it's stuck with a #2 Pop peak and a #3 Rhythmic peak. It's definitely not a "We Belong Together," "Irreplaceable," or "Yeah!"

It feels huge to me, it's everywhere! It's the summer hit that was huge but not.
Does anybody know where its combined AI peak?

yeah it's so funny because all this time the T-pain was #1 on the airplay chart yet Umbrella seems to be bigger there as well.

I found that cover a week or so ago and I have been listening to it here and there. It's just weird getting past the fact it's a cover of Umbrella.

I really like that version! I said ages ago that it would make a nice ballad and I was gonna quote myself, but I can't find it now.
