I've pretty much said all I can about this song in the HAC thread.

I hate this song. Especially the part about her toes.

She needs to thank iTunes for her career. I could see this going Top 5 easily.

This is all right. It's one of those songs that kind of just floats in and out of your ears. Sounds nice but some of the lyrics can get annoying (she should get on a remix of the new Shayne Ward single lmao). It makes no sense that it has this huge bullet though. Sure, it's doing well at hot AC, but since when does pop give a sh*t about what Hot AC does?!

Pop occasionally will care about Hot AC.

That's true.
Except for with Augustana.

Pop (and radio in general) also cares about songs that evoke a positive response from their audience. The net certainly aided in blowing this up, but the song is #1 in Mediabase callout (don't remember the exact demo). Women like it, and that's what Pop PD's want.

This is not the type of song I'd expect to see with such a massive bullet in the Top 10. What a nice surprise.

I really don't understand why this song blew up. It's really boring IMO.

Why is this blowing up out of nowhere? Is pop that hungry for a new artist? Ugh!

Good callout and overall reaction probably don't hurt.

It's amazing to think this success is mostly because it was a free download on iTunes.

#1 on itunes! I don't understand. There's something really suspicious about this song.

Not really. All the sorostitutes that work for me absolutely adore it. All my younger family female relations love it. I think the country was just looking for a sappy cheesy simple love song.

I don't see why this is any different then James Blunt.
