Yeah. This is the sappy soft rock hit of the moment. Nothing weird about that.

It's not even softy rock though. It's like coffee house folk. James' song was catchier and edgier and appealed to the people who buy Dave, John, and Jack albums on a regular basis but also attracted new fans because it was from someone new. No one is buying Colbie's type of music till now... and it's been selling for MONTHS. It's like, where is it all coming from?

James' song was way more tolerable but definitely not more edgy.

I've seen globes with more edges than "You're Beautiful", but it's still edgier than this.

"You're Beautiful" sounded really different to me on first listen. yeah, the f-bomb might have actually made it a little more edgy just because it was a juxtaposition. Then the video had an ambiguous ending that may have alluded to suicide.
Maybe not edgy, but WAY more so than "bubbles between my toes" and a video with some girl smiling on a beach.

This song is terrible. I don't see the appeal.

This is way more tolerable than "You're Beauitful." It's not annoying in any way. "You're Beautiful" has those awful, awful vocals.

This is way more tolerable than "You're Beauitful." It's not annoying in anyway. I beg to differ. This is VERY annoying to me and "You're Beautiful" never was. To each his own I guess.

Definiely a matter of opinion..as I still think "You're Beautiful" was the most annoying song of 2004. I can't even hear it without cringing. I think will get old fast, though.

I just don't see how "Bubbly" can be annoying. I can see someone thinking it's too bland and that its success is annoying.

The lyrics are the annoying part for me. The part about his face giving her "tingles in a silly place" is the prime example. It doesn't help that the song itself is boring and she sings it dully.
I remember having a similar opinion about "Your Body Is A Wonderland". One of the worst songs I have ever heard.

This song is caca. The absolute worst part is the beginning. "Will you count me in?"
Once you hear that you know you're in for some hell.

Has anyone noticed that about 20 seconds into the song, there's the distinct sound of a mouse clicking?
