This hit #2 on the Hot 100 in summer 2001. This is basically her last big hit.
I really liked this one. Great feel good vibe and good sample usage.
It's crazy though how she never got another hit after this. This album opened with 660k+ the first week and the lead single broke all kinds of records. She never really flopped before this. Then she chose a stupid third single ("Son of a Gun") and that killed the album despite some hits being left on it. Then she came back next time and it all went downhill.

It actually peaked at #3 on the Hot 100 I think this song is amazing, I never get tired of it, the sample is great and I really love the lyrics By the way, this is her last hit, and she met JD doing a So So Def remix for this song, and then they started dating. Coincidence?

Now that I think of it, this is probably my favorite single from her that came out of this decade.

This is a great, fun song IMO. Much better than "All For You."
STCML peaked at #11 at R&B, making it her first single since 1985 to miss the top 10 at that format. Kind of disappointing at the time, I guess. But she'd kill for a #11 R&B hit nowadays.

I really liked the video it fit the song, and it just had something different about it that was unique from the rest of her videos.

I guess I consider DRM as part of the 90's though, and yeah I forget that "Call On Me" is actually one of her biggest #1 hits ever at Billboard R&B.

I never really cared about this. Something about the production annoyed me, but I saw the video yesterday and it was fun.

I prefer "All For You," but this is definitely her second best single this decade and deserved all the success that it received. It's a shame she hasn't had a hit since!
