I've been listening to Golden Silver's debut album for a couple months now and I've finally decided that it's really a on-point pop album, even though it had to grow on me. They switch between great uptempos and thoughtful melodic ballads. A lot of their music sounds like it could be out of the late 1970s or 1980s. Yeah, yeah, it sounds like every other struggling UK indiepop band out there right now. But, seriously, their instrumentation and melodies are heads-and-shoulders above the others. Plus, they've got some great remixes. Check out these songs. Love them. Then go buy the album. MYSPACE

Man, I love "Arrows of Eros." Does it sample the Tom Tom Club?

I'm not sure. It sounds so authentically 1980s, so I wouldn't be surprised if they sampled a 1980s band. But I'm not too familiar with Tom Tom Club other than "Genius of Love"

^ Aaaah! That's so good! I hadn't heard it before. This band gets better with every listen.
