I dig this, but not as much as I loved Love is Gone. Moderate success for this one, probably.

I don't understand the logic in releasing this. He could potentially build radio cred with "Memories" and have another big hit with his next album. Oh well.

The "logic" is probably some odd twisted way of "returning the favor" to Fergie and the Peas for "I Gotta Feeling"

The "logic" is probably some odd twisted way of "returning the favor" to Fergie and the Peas for "I Gotta Feeling" I look at it more where Fergie is returning the favor to him, not the other way around. They probably think the Fergie factor alone is enough to get a hit, but "Memories" is just way more catchier and has really universal lyrics.

Yea, but that doesn't explain why he would release it as his single. I'm thinking it was more of an agreement, or since "IGF" became so huge, maybe he felt like he wanted to repay the Peas for giving him that opportunity, that they released that song and made him such a household name.
It's just speculation, but could be...

I actually always skipped over Memories. Although, I usually skip over this one too.

Memories is HOT!
It should have been the single over this.

It's just speculation, but could be... I think he cashed in on the Peas owing him a favor for producing their biggest ever hit. So he asked Fergie to return the favor by appearing on this. The Peas are huge right now so it's easy to see why he would want a single with Fergie over one with Kid Cudi, but this is a case where quality would outweigh status.

Goes for adds April 27th. Fergie sounds awful. I don't like this version at all. The original album version is so much better.

After hearing the radio edit I like this alot more. I could see it being a minor hit. I believe it goes to Itunes this week.

Top 20 with a healthy (and strongest to date I believe) bullet of +276.

What?! How did this get into the Top 20?? I didn't even notice... the last I knew, it was still floating around the low 30's...

This will probably get close to the top 10 before losing its bullet. I'd say that's good enough to warrant the release of "Memories"

The beginning sounds like "Love is Gone," the bridge is completely jacked from "Boom Boom Pow," and the rest of the song is one awful techno trainwreck. NEXT!
