It's only been out a couple of weeks and it's already huge. I really like this, but in a bizarre nostalgic kind of way. It feels like 1999 again!

When is the last time a ska-influenced song like this went Top 5? 1998? Crazy.

I always tend to associate them with the Jack Johnson sound. It's just weird to me that a song that sounds so dated can be so big.

It's just weird to me that a song that sounds so dated can be so big. That's true! Now that you say it I kind of see them as a bridge between the Sublime and Jack Johnson sounds. but yea as for the old sound on the radio- I like "Panic" but it doesn't seem 'fresh' if that makes sense. It doesn't have the glossy new feel that usually comes with discovering a new song.
