Yea but if I remember correctly, the same bullsh*t was spewed about Christina when Back to Basics came out, and used to 'attack' her, about how she "copied" old soul singers or whatever it be. ROFL  But now the same people wanna turn around and use it as a defence, when just months ago they were using it as an attack on a different artist I guess the "subjects can only be covered once in music history" sarcasm only applies to selected artists or cases here. People are such hypocrites, they dont even remember what they said 6 months ago. |

Attempting to copy an entire musical era on one album is slightly different than "copying" the subject of a song. And it's not like "Can't Hold Us Down" was the first female empowerment anthem ever written.

So what.. you or anyone else who says that is a hypocrite. You can't accuse someone of copying, be it a genre, whatever frivolous excuse you want, and then turn around and then mock them for being the "first" to do something.
