Thanks for the info! I definately can't wait to hear it. They have a possible cover for the album up on Wikipedia- it looks AMAZING. Not sure if it's real or not:

Why is that title already sounding familiar to me? I must be thinking of "The Present" lol

Oh... and I wonder if this means we have different US/UK lead singles.
I'm really hoping they've built in enough of a fanbase and buzz here now that they'll at least get some attention with whatever their stateside lead single is.

Oh... and I wonder if this means we have different US/UK lead singles. I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'd hope not though really. Here's where I got the info from on "The Prayer": www.nme.com/news/bloc-party/24771Second to last paragraph. I'll buy this week's NME, and try to scan in the Bloc Party pages btw.

On first listen I don't really this. I hope it will grow because the chorus is nice, but the verses are Don't see this doing well on the radio... not even in the UK and DEF not in the US

Having heard "I Still Remember" too now, I can't believe they dropped that as the lead single. It's actually a very strong song and it sounds like a radio success too. Bloc Party built up enough buzz in the US where if they put out a great first single, radio would probably latch on. "I Still Remember" could do it.... but "The Prayer" will NOT get any play.

I like this a lot. It's refreshing and I can hear a Timbo influence in the beat. I can't see this being an Alternative hit, so they must change the single. The first verse is weak, but I love the whole song.

I like this. It does sound like Timbaland. It definitely doesn't sound like a hit though.

It does sound like Timbaland. It reminds me of "Maneater," and also "Cop That sh*t" a little.

This is one of the songs that I think could be good if they re-tooled it, but in its current form it sounds messy and not in a good way. Like I said though, I think the chorus is pretty good.

I really like it, but I agree that its probably too wierd for radio. But I really feel this is what alt. music should do, not that same old thing over and over

I think this'll grow on you. Just a hunch You're right. It grows on me a little more every time. The chorus really is AMAZING now... it's just the verses that have a lot of work to win me over still.

This is one of the better tracks off the album. That's saying very little, though.
