Mr. Hahn is directing the video.

This is supposedly some overblown several minute long epic thing.

This is kind of typical for them, but the vocals are better than usual.

This sounds exactly like everything they've ever done before.
Only I actually sort of liked their other stuff.
I hate the chorus. It's not compelling at all. "Don't hate me because I disagree"? Seriously? Are you 5? Terrible.

This is beyond underwhelming, and I'm not even a fan. Not terrible, just very typical and mediocre.

Supposedly this has already been played in the UK on Radio 1...

It's on the C-List, but I haven't heard it yet. I just want it to leak properly, I mean it's being released to iTunes on Tuesday (it might even be Monday) and it still hasn't leaked (that I've seen)

#263 +9 0.034 It goes for adds today and is currently only being played on some station in Honolulu. Both the song and the video are supposed to have been on iTunes since midnight but are currently on neither the US or UK stores. VideoI absolutely love it. However, I can completely see people not being overly keen on a video that features clips of the fall of Saddam Hussein; Hitler and the Holocaust; 9/11; global warming; the Black civil rights movement and the KKK.

I absolutely love it. However, I can completely see people not being overly keen on a video that features clips of the fall of Saddam Hussein; Hitler and the Holocaust; 9/11; global warming; the Black civil rights movement and the KKK. I'm not overly keen on generic bands putting profound clips that mean something to generic, terrible songs that don't. That came out really harsh. But I've never really attached any depth or real meaning to any of Linkin Park's songs... I think they're basically disposable and perhaps at best they're somewhat convincing that they're experiencing emotion but never quite get there. This song is just another example of that. And putting it to clips of the World Trade Center falling, and nuclear holocaust, and global warming seems like a bullsh*t effort to make something completely insipid and banal profound and important.

I was going to say that earlier, but you put it way better than I was going to. The video is so pretentious.
