The video and shock horror, they are STILL in a desert... Anyone would think they are from Las Vegas or something

This is a really good album- a great mix of electronica, sensitive lyrics and sweeping melodies. My favourites at the moment are the single "This Sweet Love", "The Ghost", "Somehow", "No Surprise". Well worth investigating!

I think that's the idea. The song's video bears more than a striking resemblance to the crappy ones put out for all previous winners (the cheesy clips from the show's audtions and live final), and the song even has the trademark key change.

This can no longer be downloaded on iTunes. Perhaps an error? ..or maybe Rachel Stevens is suing her.

#3 in the midweeks, and it's FALLEN to #4 on iTunes. Haha. I hope Geraldine and the Saturdays overtake him by Sunday's chart.

On Sunday night, Peter Kay's new sitcom, a parody of British Saturday night TV - Britain's Got The Pop Factor ... And Possibly A New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly On Ice was broadcast on Channel 4. Of the three final acts on it 'R Wayne', '2 Up 2 Down' and 'Geraldine McQueen' (who was played by Peter Kay) the winner was Geraldine and her debut #1 single is released in the UK this week (it was written by none other than Gary Barlow). Would be funny if this beat Leon Jackson who is stalling on iTunes after his poor performance on Saturday night. It's #6 in the UK midweeks, 3 places behind Leon who is at #3. Here's some clips: R Wayne medley www.youtube.com/watch?v=t9OnQKHJ_2Ua medley of "Return to Innocence" by Enigma, "Love Train" by The O'Jays, "Earth Song" by Michael Jackson, "YMCA" by The Village People and "There's No-one Quite Like Grandma" by the St Winifred's School Choir.2 Up 2 Down medley www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_5y3IzN2gEa medley of "We Built This City" by Starship, "Bootylicious" by Destiny's Child, "9 to 5" by Dolly Parton, "Holding Out For A Hero" by Bonnie Tyler and "Hero" by Mariah Carey.Geraldine medly www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfGqPShdZ9Ua medley of "Born to Run" by Bruce Springsteen, the theme to Born Free (perhaps best known as Andy Williams' version), "Free Nelson Mandela" by The Special AKA, "Umbrella" by Rihanna, "C'est la Vie" by B*witched and "Milkshake" by Kelis.Official video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=F50A2wfV5P0

Yup. Just heard it for the first time - the production sounds very Bond-esque. It's good, but she could have easily re-released "Rockferry" (the single) and have done just as well without ripping off the fans..

Ewwwwwwww. He also said the Pop Idol 2 finalists would get to #1 with their Christmas John Lennon cover, but it only reached like #5. LOL. It'll chart higher than Mariah Carey's version though. I guess this is the reason that Girls Aloud brought forward "The Promise" by a week to 20 October.

#11 on US iTunes now.
I thought this would have made much more of an impact. Hopefully the SNL performance boosts it into the Top 3!

She's playing live at the Moshi Moshi records 10th birthday party on Saturday 18th October. I'm thinking of buying tickets because I'll be in London that weekend and it sounds AMAZING.

#1 in the UK midweeks.
She was outselling Oasis by 4.5K on Tuesday, and set for a total of 60K (the 2nd highest one week total of the year so far, behind Duffy's "Mercy").
