This is starting to blow up in the US. #31 on the Hot 100, Top 10 on iTunes.
Really happy for her - she's come a long way since Canadian Idol.

Finally new music from these guys!
Not their most exciting song, but who cares? Just happy they're finally coming out with new music.

Ugh. This is going to flop - it's just not very good.

This is probably her best song. Was stuck in my head all day yesterday.

The country influence doesn't bother me, but I'd like him to release something that's actually exciting some time in the future. He's descended too far into the laid back Jack Johnson-esque sound for my taste.

This is hot. Not her best material by any means, but this would've been a much better choice for lead single.

I agree that this isn't her best single, but I still think it's pretty damn hot.

Disgusting, but FWIW...this songs fits her style like a glove - she sounds fantastic on it. Kinda wish she had a bigger part.

Was just walking through the downtown core at almost midnight, and it's amazing how apt the song's name is - the instrumental really hits the vibe dead on.

Definitely one of the better tracks off the album. But it's kind of similar to "I Forgive You," so I can't really see it as a single.

If IFY is a hit, then this wouldn't be a bad choice for single. It's not my favourite song off the record (IMO "The Sun Will Raise" is a much better slow song), but it's definite Grammy bait, so I can'r really argue against releasing it.

I really detest the breakdown on this. It's a shame, because there's a damn good song here.

My opinion of this really hasn't changed since it first leaked. I still like the verses, but absolutely abhor the chorus.

Y'all can expect this to explode midweek - it will be featured on Glee on Tuesday.

I'm trying to remember the last time Alicia had a hit, to be honest. The only song I can remember from her in recent years is "Empire State of Mind," and she was a featured artist on that one.

I doubt she has anything to do with this. Radio is probably doing this on its own.

Second week at #1.
I like this song, but I can't believe it has a higher peak than any of the singles from the Breakaway era.

Ya, this seems like an odd song to use to try to break into the US market.

Damn her for f**king with Whitney. Katy really annoys me right now. I was cool with her throughout the era and even when she released all these lame remixes to try to fool around with the charts. Maybe it's because real Pop talent is in our face right now with the all of the Whitney remembrances and Adele's Grammy success, but the contrast really stands out to me. We have these incredible vocalists who take their time in constructing songs and won't release them til their perfect, then we have a song like "Part of Me" which was rush recorded and rush released by an average vocalist to try to steal records from those who worked hard to achieve them. I'm so sick of Katy right now and I actually LIKED her at one point. This song initially leaked way back in 2010 when the album first came out, so it's not "rush recorded." And she's far from the first artist to re-release a record for the sake of making more money, so I'm really not sure where the vehement hatred is coming from.
