All she needs to do is wise up and release "Daydream." I swear to God!

She didn't have a lot of creditability to start with. Under My Skin was a fantastic record and that didn't give her too much street cred. But it did keep the haters from her back.
Sales are going well WW AND WYG did very well in most other countries.

LOL! Michael, I think you mean Under My Skin. In This Skin is a Jessica Simpson album. HAHA!

i was laughing when you talk about Avril's credibility or lack thereof and then give her a Jessica Simpson album title...

She also ruined all credibility she had with this album. Its going to take her a lot to get it back too. ROTFL

I never said she had a lot of credibility to begin with. lol I just said that she ruined all she had. Even if that wasn't much.

Yeah. Even though "Girlfriend" was a big hit, I saw a lot of her fans saying that Avril "sold out" by doing the whole dancing thing, etc., doing virtually everything she claimed she wouldn't do when she first came out. It's not really any more packaged than the old image, but the people who bought the old image got pissed.

LOL! The funny thing is over at Pulse in the "predictions for 2007" thread, I made this prediction that Avril would slut it up in a video. I made it back in January. LOL! I didn't think it would actually happen. I was only kidding, but it did happen. LOL!

Wow. I actually agree with Chuck Taylor and definitely thought of Dolores the first time I heard the bridge to the song.
Her performance on the AMA's was actually pretty decent. She sounded really good for Avril, and while she didn't move around so much, at least she didn't look bored and retarted...she actually looked like she was enjoying being up there. I don't understand how Boyfriend could be a hit and this not.

I don't understand how Boyfriend could be a hit and this not. I hope you meant "Girlfriend." Poor Avril. She had such a huge hit with that song and now she's struggling to even make it onto the Itunes 100. Is it because "When You're Gone" killed her momentum or because there's no interest left in her? I mean, her album sales are not horrible or anything, so I would say the former.

I choose to believe this is just a terrible song. That's the reason I don't like it. This is my least favorite Avril single since "Sk8er Boi".

I think the song's okay. The chorus is catchy to me. However, she doesn't exactly have too many other single choices on her album, so I could see why they went with this one.

TBDT really stinks. This is one of the few standout tracks, and just as good a choice as anything else on the album IMO. She just needs to wrap it up and move on.

I think Avril's been ready to move on from the very beginning of this era. She would always looked bored whenever she performed "Girlfriend." I think she doesn't really like this sound her label forced on her. However, TBDT is supposedly selling really well worldwide (like in Japan for example), so I could see her label squeezing one or two more singles out of this album. But yes, I agree they should wrap this era up in the US already.

The single choices for this album are simply terrible. "When You're Gone" ruined everything! If she released "Runaway" and "I Can Do Better" she would have been fine. If she wanted to release a ballad, she should have put "I Will Be" on the album and release that as a third or fourth single. It's a ballad people would love and expect from Avril.

I actually really like this song now, the melody is nice.

The melody is nice but the song itself feels sloppy, with such a change in tempo between the verses and the chorus.

I wonder where this will peak. I could see it miss the top 50 totally, but hopefully it won't happen.

It will probably fall off next week. It was DOA at radio, and the AMA's are the only reason it got enough downloads to hit the Hot 100 this week.

That sucks so much for Avril. The last time she came out with a mature and serious album, she didn't have much luck at radio. This time she comes out with a younger and less serious sound, she still doesn't have much luck at radio.

She just seems to be getting less and less popular.
