One of the few britney songs that I can tolerate.
It may not be her best vocal performance, but I think that aids in the delivery of this song.

I just saw a commercial playing this in the background - it immediately triggered memories of times gone by.....
Love this track -

everytime the chorus kicks in; with all the clash of the instruments - I feel uplifted and energized.

The title suits the track perfectly.
Tranquility best describes it for me.
I love the "ooh ooh ooh ooh" and the trumpet solo near the end (there is a break and then it kicks in for a few bars). .

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this won an Oscar? Or Golden Globe? Neither - it was nominated for an oscar - never won. I like it. HATED the movie though.

loved it... then hated it.... then liked it....then tolerated it....now I appreciate it.
It went to #1 here in Australia (one of the few places it reached #1).

#1 classic
Her trademark and comeback song.
Surprisingly, her only #1 billboard hit.

nice remake.
I actually didn't know what the song was at first. ...But once it reached the chorus, i recognised it.

Their biggest hit and trademark song. This song actually WON the billboard hot 100 single of the year back in 1990. Here is the performance and them accepting the award. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZrKf_pEhX4Very catchy - I hear it every now and again on the radio. Growing up, I didn't know they were a group. I always thought it was a solo singer (maybe because of the name). I'm not familiar with their other singles. This seemed to be their only hit downunder. However, I do remember chynna phillips going solo and having success downunder with "naked & sacred" and "i live for you."

Instantly like this!! I was hoping her other material would sound like this. Unfortunately, this has been the only song I have enjoyed from her. Boyfriend and La La were the most annoying piece of crap. Off topic - I was when I first heard this was Jessica's sister. They look nothing alike.

Celine has a talent for singing covers. Originally sung by the legendary Patti Labelle for the James Bond soundtrack. Celine's version performed a million times better on the charts than patti's ofcourse (mainly because it was a better version ) This is one of my favourite celine songs (along with where does my heart beat now).

I have brought this song up because Meat Loaf has "finally" released his version of this song for Bat out of Hell 3. Many think of this song as a celine song, but in fact it was actually written and intented for Meat Loaf back in 1986 for the Bat Out of Hell 2 album. They wisely chose "I'd Do anything for love" instead. Anyways....I always thought celine's album version was toooooo long. I much preferred the video version which was edited and cut. here is meat loaf's video www.youtube.com/watch?v=9f2Nh0lhxdgand celine's video www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYhaFufPtYYthey both have similar themes.

written by Michael Jackson. Unlike the more recent rehash "what more can i give" - This track is brilliant and a #1 hot 100 smash and worldwide hit. I grew up listening to this song and I love it still to this day. Out of all the charity singles (tears are not enough, do they know its christmas? etc...), this is my favourite. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ECDCty_qpSE^^^ michael was still black
