DJ Premier & Guru are one of the hottest duo's since Eric B & Rakim. "Mass Appeal" released from their 1994 album "Hard to Earn" became one of my favorite Hip-Hop tracks. "Mass Appeal" which also is my favorite single by them is HOT! They have been around for years & they continued selling records without any mainstream success. You have to respect artists like them.

Many people may not remember Dred Scott sadly but he debuted in '93 with his single "Nutin' Ta Lose". I loved this song. He was very underrated like many other rappers from the 90s. It's a shame because the 90s had some of the hottest rappers but only a few are recognized today. Also I think its sad that most of the rappers today will be remembered more then rappers who can actually rap well. If many of those same rappers came back today, they would be greatly appreciated now.

I dont understand. Did 702 get a new lineup because in the video there were four members and only one of them I recongzined from the original lineup. Anywho this song is great. But this use to remind me of "Your Love Is a 187" by The Whitehead Brothers. They both had the same exact sound.

Nope I never heard this but I didnt know he was a member of the Alkaholiks. I'm pretty sure I would like this song because I like the Alkaholiks. They were a great group with a unique style. I think the Beatnuts kinda jocked them.

That's because 98% were heavy samples. This is probably a sample too.

This is probably my favorite by Big daddy Kane. The chrous samples Heawave's "Aint No Half Steppin". I really love the prodution mostly but Big Daddy Kane verses are HOT and it makes the song even better. Sharissa also sampled this track on her Re-Mix to "No Half Steppin" featuring Busta Rhymes which I thought was a hot Re-MIx.

This is the definition of a Hip-Hop CLASSIC. From beginning to end "The Show" is TIMELESS! I love all the beat boxing by Doug E, the scratching, rapping, production, everything is on point. There will never be another Hip-Hip track like "The Show". Doug E might be the worlds greatest entertainer.

Yeah LL is defiently the 1st with "I Need Love", He holds the title but Slick is still one of the 1st since there wasnt many at the time. Never will I credit anyone else LL's title. Besides he's the KING Hip-Hop love songs.

"Teenage Love" & of course "Children's Story" are my favorites by Slick Rick. Both of them are equally good in their own right. "Teenage Love" is one of the 1st Hip-Hop love records. Now its very common to hear these type of records today. Also check out his underrated track "Hey Young World".
