Yeah I remember "Live And Die For Hip-Hop" by Kris Kross. The sample was HOT! Sounded like a typical JD production. This song here "Baby Come To Me" is a HOT one. A Quiet Strom CLASSIC indeed.

You thought his version was oversung, K-Ci took oversinging to another level. I dont know many Bobby Womack songs. I heard of couple of them before like "A Woman's Gotta Have It". I really love this song though but I cant say its my favorite since I havent heard everything by him.

You are right. This song is tragically underrated. I cant believe I'm seeing #41. This song deserved to atleast go Top 10 maybe even 5 or 1. I love the production on this track and Teena's voice is wonderful like always. She has never had the success she deserved and she's a very talented songwriter, singer and producer. I love this.

I thought I was the only one who knew and loved this song. I'm surprised it doesnt get airplay anymore. It's defentiely one of his finest singles and most successful (#3 R&B). The vocals & the prodcution are excellent. This remind me of "Let's Get It On" but it's completly different. Another great & underrated single from this album is "You Sure Love To Ball". The song was an R&B hit #13 but it hasnt held up like "Distant Lover". One of my favorites by Marvin. Basically his singles were excellent.

I love this but I think they have other singles as good. The Roots are so underrated because unlike other Hip-Hop acts they actually play real live instruments, they are original and musically diverse. I have been a fan since the debut and you have to check out their albums because they are really amazing and Black Thought is forever being taken for granted as an MC. Zero recognition, he's one of the best ever and lyrically intelligent like Nas.

This is probably my favorite uptempo by Luther Vandross. I like how they added all the talking in the background to fit the whole theme of the song which remind me of "Gotta Give It Up" by Marvin Gaye.

It's not my favorite Aretha single but I love it. My favorite Aretha single is "Angel". She has another single I love released before she became well established called "One Step Ahead". It's really vintage Aretha & her vocals are excellent for her age.
