The only other foreign Idol I can think of as having success in the US is Agnes, who had a dance smash a couple of years ago with "Release Me;" she won Swedish Idol. I'm pretty there's a couple others who weren't winners on their shows who've had some minor success in the States as well.
Interestingly, although quite a few UK reality acts have crossed over to the US (Leona Lewis, Susan Boyle), none of them were on the actual UK Idol show. They all come from the various knockoffs (X Factor, Britain's Got Talent).

#10 on the Hot 100.
Never expected to see a Canadian Idol that wasn't Hedley get anywhere close to there.

I'm actually surprised. Love or hate the song, you can't argue that it's first week wasn't amazing in both sales and radio play.

Wow. That's rather impressive. Also, I loved that song.

This is pretty hot, actually. I wouldn't put it on the same level as "On the Floor" or "Papi," but it's a decent follow up.

Lead single from her third studio album. Written and produced by Alex da Kid ("Love the Way You Lie," "Airplanes"). Set to debut on April 20th.
I'm excited - love her and he's been behind some great songs. Her last album was crap, but her first record had some really good stuff.

I like this a lot. Better than the remix that came out forever ago.

This is really good, but feels really old to me now.

The production and chorus are good. OMFG at the verses though, so embarrassing. "Somebody To Love" is still his best single IMO. Pretty much the only song by him I can listen to with a straight face. 100% in agreement

Considering the video is basically a war movie, it feels weirdly devoid of energy. She's had some good vids this era, but this definitely isn't one of them.

One of the new tracks off the re-release of Teenage Dream.
I like this a lot - it sounds just different enough from everything she's done before, while still completely fitting in with what had been doing so well for her so far.

Just-announced second single from his debut album.
I am addicted to his whole album - love the old school R&B vibe he's going for. This is definitely one of the standout tracks.

Second single.
I love Gavin, but this album is going to be a case of "one and done." This song just isn't that good.

I'm actually really interested to hear this. Her last album was a very mixed bag, but the best songs were HOT ("On the Floor," "Papi"), so I'm hoping for something solid.

Actually, "Some Hearts" was the third single. The first single was her Idol release, "Inside Your Heaven."

I actually quite like this. I feel the chorus is lifted from something.
