Amazing. It's even more amazing because we thought her era was over when the label killed "Maneater" and here she is at #1 with a song that is probably too good for radio.

Oh yeah, and my station shifted this into power rotation. Now I get to hear even more SIR, and I'm not complaining!

All I can hope now is that her label is smart about this. Hopefully they take advantage of Say It Right's success and release All Good Things in a timely fashion. I'm hoping they can get her some nice promo again for All Good Things because all the promo for Say It Right (especially that AMA performance) really helped.

I definitely agree completely. They need to stand behind "AGA" and not ruin it like they did to "Maneater." Even after the great success of "SIR," I'm still really paranoid about her situation because of how they handles "Maneater." One thing that gives me hope for "All Good Things" though is that "SIR" seems to have opened the door for her at HAC again, which hopefully means they'll make AGT an automatic add even if it doesn't blow up at Pop.

This is the second chart-topper for Furtado, who spent six weeks in pole position last summer with "Promiscuous," a song that featured Timbaland. "Say It Right" is the first song to advance to No. 1 in 2007, and when added to Beyonce's visit to the penthouse, gives solo female singers an 11-week lock on the top spot. That's the longest shut-out of men from the summit since 2005, when Gwen Stefani, Mariah Carey and Carrie Underwood combined for a 19-week run at No. 1 from May to September.

"Say It Right" goes to the head of the class in its 14th chart week. That's a slower climb than "Promiscuous," which garnered top ink in its eighth chart week.
By remaining on top of the heap for 10 weeks with "Irreplaceable," Beyonce has broken her own longevity record for No. 1 singles. Destiny's Child’s "Crazy in Love" was leader of the pack for eight weeks in the summer of 2003 and "Baby Boy" dominated for nine weeks that autumn.

If "Irreplaceable" had remained in its perch for one more week, it would have tied the 11-week rule of Destiny's Child's "Independent Women Part I," which held sway from November 2000-January 2001.
