The vocals on this song are ATROCIOUS. VH-1 picked them as their new You Oughta Know Artist. Great taste, guys.

RS: You seem to really have your biggest following in the middle of the country. Is that something you’d agree with? Austin Winkler: I would definitely agree as far as NY and LA with some of that artsy bullsh*t like OK GO, bands like that. I think they’re a bunch of fairies. I mean, they got on MTV , the VMA awards and they got on there and danced like a broadway show. That’s not f**king rock ‘n roll, that’s not rock ‘n roll at all. RS: We get what you mean about OK Go and some of the bands that really are popular on the coasts, but what do you think it is about you guys that appeals to people? AW: We have good songs, I would say. Their songs suck, I mean what the f**k? They sold 4,000 albums a week and then that treadmill fairy sh*t comes on the f**king TV and they only sold 4,000 more records a week because the song sucks. RS: Do you guys know them? You seem to have a real specific fixation with them, have you met them or anything? Cody Hanson: No, it’s just seeing their f**king stupid-@ss faces on the T.V. all the time, it pisses me the f**k off. RS: Are there any other bands that you look at and are like why are they famous, besides them? CH: I’ll tell you, the worst band of all time in my book is Thursday. AW: I thought he had a good voice, dude, what are you talking about. CH: That dude has got to be the worst singer I have ever heard in my entire f**ing life, man. He is terrible. Oh wow...another reason to hate this song. They write cliche hair metal-esque crap with horrible vocals and atrocious lyrics and act like they're putting out "Smells Like Teen Spirit" of the 21st century. Give me a break, like they don't suck as hard as the bands they're slamming. I hope they are one-hit wonders.

I deleted the comment.
What else could I say about them though? They called Ok Go fairies, Thurday the worst band ever, and said they themselves have "good songs".
Really immature. "Fairy" is a homophobic remark you would hear in high school.

I have to agree with you on that one, though.

With a vengeance. If we have to suffer, so do you, LOL. The only thing you can do to protect yourself is duck and cover.

LOL. The British music industry is really good at shunning this kind of crap. Have Nickelback or Creed ever even had a huge hit there?

Nickelback have gone top 10 a couple of times. Creed had two songs hit in the teens. They were all just paving the way for Hinder.

Nickelback have had 3 Top 10's, the biggest "How You Remind Me" (which I quite liked) got to number 4 and was a big hit in 2002.

Wow, that's actually better than I thought. I guess the UK does get some active rock every now and then. How about 3 Doors Down? Sometimes I think blue-collar US bands skip right over the UK and go straight to continental Europe. When I lived in Italy in '04, 3 Doors Down and Hoobstank were EVERYWHERE.

What the hell is wrong with VH1? Why are these losers their new "You Oughta Know" artists? If I see that commercial one more time with the band talking about how great their music is, ugh!
I usually always like the artists they pick, but this is such a joke.

I usually always like the artists they pick, but this is such a joke. I agree. Before VH1 kind of went out of their way to find new artists deserving of exposure and pushed them til they got a hit (Maroon 5, Keane, James B., The Fray, KT, etc.). But lately they'll just add any new or breaking band as a You Oughta Know artist once they ALREADY have a hit at radio and regardless of what they're overall material is like. Like Hinder. I knew they were slacking with the whole You Oughta Know thing this year anyway, as soon as they added Daniel Powter as one despite his album sucking (even though I love "Bad Day")

This song makes me want to take a knife to my ears; I think if I ever met someone on the streets who liked this song I might be tempted to kick their ass.
