Yeah. Definitely. The only other one I think went Top 10 was Ruben Studdard's "Sorry 2004" and that went to like #9.

Yeah. Definitely. The only other one I think went Top 10 was Ruben Studdard's "Sorry 2004" and that went to like #9. Hold on. I have to correct myself. Clay Aiken's "Solitaire" debuted at #4, but it fell off like 3 weeks later.

I know you said non-Kelly, but "Miss Independent" from her first album also peaked at #9 before she became huge.

That's so weird, I've never heard this on the radio. I hear it a lot, but not enough to say that it is even Top 20 on pop radio.

Im just watching Larry King and its an American Idol episode, Ace Young is on and he said he wrote the chorus of "It's Not Over" with Chris. So that means he's probably getting crazy royalties right now... well, maybe not since there's probably like 7 songwriters who have credits and they got to split it all those different ways but still, pretty big.

Finally heard this on the radio yesterday. It doesn't feel like a top 5 at all. I hear "What Goes Around" and "Say It Right" so much, but this doesn't feel like it's up there with it.

This came back #1 CHR/Pop call out at Rate The Music. He must have been a really popular personality on the ahow. Because this song would not be doing well if some other band came out with it. It sounds about 5 years dated and even for that period it would be on the generic side. It's his name recognition from the show that's driving this hit.

He must have been a really popular personality on the show. You would think, but he really came off as a dick on the show.

I didn't think so i wouldnt go as far as saying he was a dick i've seen worse....i thought he was overly confident...nothing wrong with that.........anyway........you could say he was doing well because of his name and stuff when the song first came out...but it's doing extremely well because people seem to like it........name or not........

For some reason, it's weird to me to see this challenging for the top of the pop charts. But I really shouldn't be surprised. He has a great voice and all, but it's really formulaic and nothing special outside of that. Then again, look at Hinder and Nickelback and their successes at CHR...

I really don't understand the HAC thing. This song sounds so out of place on that format and not in a good way. And at Alternative playing an American Idol song. Turn on any morning show on an Alternative station and they mock anyone who goes through AI to get a record deal.
