I can see this going either way in terms of hit or flop status. Agreed. I don't doubt it'll be a smash in Canada (score  ), but that's definitely not guaranteed in the States. I have a feeling it'll catch on though, despite doubtlessly being a major disappointment to her fans. The bridge is total sh*t though, regardless of the quality of the rest of the song. |

The hook has been stuck in my head all afternoon. I wish the verses were a little better lyrically. That's my only complaint right now. Actually the bridge sucks too. This song is all about the hook.

This is not a dissappointment to her fans, me being one of them. It's defnitely a better choice for a first single than "Don't Tell Me." I like this better than "Complicated," but I never really liked "Complicated." I don't know if I like it more than "Don't Tell Me," but it's definitely a better choice for a debut single.

^ I would consider myself a fan of Avril's and I am disappointed with this. On its own, it isn't horrible, but it doesn't hold a candle in the wind to her best material.

I don't blame the label for not putting out her best material. I think "Nobody's Home" is easily her best single (and most mature), but it totally flopped even after a hit.

The chorus is catchy, but I think the pre-chorus is catchier. They should've turned that into the bridge.

I can see pop latching on to this one it is very catchy plus most everyone like Justin, yonka and Christina are really either in the middle or close to their 4th single winding down/ losing steam with their albums, so i can see them latching on to Avril's song especially since it fits so well in the pop format.

It sounds like Hey Mickey meets Hollaback Girl. I know!! And sadly, that's why I'm enjoying it. I've never thought much of Avril Lavigne as a lyricist, so it's kind of relief for me to see her dropping the pretenses of sophistication and just having some bratty fun, replete with a killer hook. This probably won't make me buy the album, but it'll be fun pretending I'm not jamming to it in the car and at my desk.  |
