IMO "Afraid" wouldn't work and i would totally hate Nelly if she releases "Wait For You". It's either "Glow" or "Do It" for me.

I'd go with "Showtime" or "Glow," but I think she needs to wrap the album up. I can't see either being big at this point.

I think "Do It" might have been the next best single, but the production controversy probably means we won't see it get released.

It really is my favorite Pop song of this entire decade, and like I said in a post on the previous page, there are SO many reasons for them to play it. Also, her album is selling well now so it's not like SIR is some fluke hit- it was HUGE and carried her album. It deserves a follow-up hit. I don't mean to sound bitter, but I seriously think most PD's don't have the proper taste to play a song of this high quality. All good songs are flopping this year... while cheese blows up.

^I don't think I could have said it any better. This is one of my favorite songs of all time, nevermind my favorite Nelly F song. But I do think if it wasn't for the success of "Nelly's" GITM, I think this would have done better.

Well I still think this is bland and boring, so I'm not surprised that it flopped. She definitely needs to just wrap it up though.

Maybe the adds date was pushed back.

Maybe the adds date was pushed back. That's what I'm thinking. Just in general terms, it's VERY odd for the follow-up to such a huge hit and from a currently hot album to get that few adds.

This is currently at #78 with a bullet of +53, which is definitely more than what the bullet was the last time I checked. Things are starting to look up!

If you recall, "Say It Right" also got off to a slow start: Fifth most added with 14 adds. Huge flop. This is at #52 with a bullet of +188. I don't even know what to say anymore. It's like there's a curse on Nelly or something. I think this could still be a hit!

I kind of resent Give It To Me's second wind now. As much as I love Give It To Me, I think it being in the top ten along with Say It Right is hindering this song's performance. Radio has got two Nelly songs in pretty high rotation now and I doubt many stations are game to jump on a third one at least for the time being.

I always said GITM wouldn't interfere with AGTCTE because they're soooo different, but that was before I knew SIR would hang around so high for so long too. Three is a crowd. Also, her label like arbitrarily sent the video out to TRL a month before the adds date and honestly sent AGT to radio too soon. I sitll can't go a half hour without hearing SIR on the radio. The next single shouldn't be going for adds for at LEAST another month.

I think in the end this will get a decent run and at least be able to peak within the Top 25. I just hope it's not too long before radio gets ready to play this.

This is how I would have done it- because the label got it ALL wrong in my opinion.
1) I would have sent this for HAC adds first. It's more of a HAC song, so it should be treated as one. If they got it first, they'd be less likely to pass on it just because Pop did. Since the label went with Pop first, then HAC will get this song after it's already a "flop." I'd send it for HAC adds in mid-May and to Pop two weeks later. 2) This is kind of an off shoot of what I just said- send this to Pop radio in late May. That extra month would have allowed SIR to simmer down more and GITM would have just about peaked already. 3) The video should have been sent out to outlets at the same time the song was sent to radio, not so far in advance. It just seemed so arbitrary and no wonder it's getting so little air time.

Stopping at those exits while traveling! The Chris Martin factor! King of the Hipsters! Lovers playing and becoming friends... duh! No seriously, I have noooo idea why he'd use such random words to describe it... but this is Chuck Taylor here.
