This should definitely be re-sent for adds in May with the UK single mix. After that, if Who Knew turns out to work well, then I wouldn't be so upset if Maneater was the last single.

This should definitely be re-sent for adds in May with the UK single mix. The UK single mix is barely different at all. Certainly not different enough to give it its own adds date lol. |

Regardless of the mix, I think it needs a new adds date anyway...and if not, her label needs to start pushing the song. I really do think the UK mix is so much more radio friendly, though, even if the changes are subtle. The beat is much stronger and the vocals have a louder reverb, which makes her sound much smoother.

I agree the label needs to push the song more. I just think sending a song for adds twice is desperate, not to mention it's not a normal practice unless there's some sort of fluke situation.

I'd resend it for adds with the UK mix, book a performance on AI, and start promoting on TV right before the tour begins.
Too bad Geffen isn't that smart.

^I AGREE! The UK Mix would make this take off a lot faster! But, SIR didn't exactly fly up the charts either! So, we will have to wait and see. She has 2 songs in the Top 10 right now.

Z100 plays a commercial advertising her concert coming up at MSG, and the commercial is like "Z100 welcomes Nelly Furtado blah blah"... and anyway, they play a clip of this song, even though they haven't added it.

i just heard the spanish version of this...go nelly!! it's kinda decent. There's a new string arrangement and lmao at how the dogs are "grillos"(crickets) now...but they still whistle to the new moon.

Why would they send out Maneater again that song did far better than was to be expected for no adds date and has already sold a lot of downloads.

I still don't think this song is done yet. It was gaining nicely last week and even though they weren't huge gains, it couldn't keep up. I think she will start gaining again here soon! GITM it dying, so hopefully this will take off here in the next few weeks. I think she needs to perform it on American Idol's finale. It fits perfectly and the downloads would be HUGE! Then they could also use it for the season finale of Grey's Anatomy to keep her downloads steady and they could use it as the official graduation song! It could be huge if they did all the things I just stated. I hope Geffen takes advantage of this moment!

I mean... who the hell send a song for adds when the artist already has TWO songs in the Top 10? But I don't want to pin it on GITM exclusively because that song and AGTCTAE are soooo different. It's just the overall factor of them rush releasing a new single when two other Nelly songs barely started their descent yet. |

I have a feeling this is going to pull a lot more adds in the next few weeks...her label is promoting her on All Access now, so they're probably just starting to push the song.

I don't think this is over yet. She seems to barely be starting to promote this. She has a performance on May 8th on Dancing With The Stars, performace on May 10th on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and another on KTLA (morning news I'm guessing?) on May 11th.
