I just had a brilliant idea.. They should promote this as the graduation song for 2009. The lyrics just seem so perfect for that time in someone's life. Plus, it would be huge anyways and with that on top of it. This could end up being a massive hit with that attached to it.

The "Halo" rip is way too obvious. I was actually confused when the song started as to how Beyoncé ended up on my playlist.

This should be the third single, and according to the sticker on her record, it will be. Usually you can't trust stickers, but I'm pretty sure Clive isn't giving her any say on what's being released this time around.
Anyway, it does sound like Halo, but I'm pretty sure she did this with Ryan before he gave Beyonce Halo (one of the last songs she recorded). I'm really glad she co-wrote it. She was dead on with the description; it's definitely an ode to "Nothing Compares 2 U":

The way she is singing this song really makes it what it is. Otherwise, it's kind of boring. But she sounds incredible.

The more I hear this the more I wonder if it should be changed to the second single. This was instantly a standout for me, but it keeps getting better with every listen. Her vocals are impeccable and it's so catchy and haunting. I almost feel like they should just put it out now - it could be her WBT, and it's far superior to "I Do Not Hook Up."

Lyrically, Halo is ridiculous. Vocally, it's really good for Beyonce, but the autotune on the verses is too much.

This does sound like Kelly Clarkson singing "Halo". I do like this song, though it doesn't do a whole lot for me. I could see this being a later single.
