This is taking off at Smooth Jazz now too.
I think this is it's seventh week at #1 R&B now. That definitely beats Lisa Stansfield's three #1's. I don't know when the last time a white artist spent this long at #1 was. I wouldn't be surprised if it was all the way back in the 50's.

You can literally hear this in New York at any time of the day. All you have to do is find what station it's playing on.

yeahhhh the airplay on this is really big, 129M right now (approaching 1.2 billion total, yikes). this or next week may be the peak since Urban is dropping now.
who ever thought it would be THIS huge? it's sort of annoying me now because there have been equally good/better R&B songs in the last few years that didn't cross over like this, but ummmm i'm still happy for him.

I finally heard this today. Oh my god. Personally, I think the song is HORRIBLE. The background music is sooo f**ked up.

I've been over it. Who held the record for being a white person with an R&B hit before him?

This is without a doubt the most overrated single of the year. What's sad is that if it was sung by a black artist, nobody probably would have noticed.

Yeah, I HATE this. It's become one of my most hated songs of the year. I can't change the station fast enough when it comes on. What's sad is that if it was sung by a black artist, nobody probably would have noticed. Not sure about this. I actually think him being white was an obstacle for him to overcome at Urban radio.

That doesn't make any sense to me. I mean, there have been so many white artists that urban has ignored and they even gave Eminem a hard time. It's not like there's some hype behind him because he's the first white artist at urban or something. Not to mention, his album was blowing up in urban outlets before this song was even that big. Urban is generally really hard on white artists.

Yeah... I think if he was black, "I Wanna Luv U Girl" would have been a hit, to be honest. In which case it would have paved the way for this- the follow-up- to be a hit too.

I think him being white was a definate obstacle at first, but after he broke through a little, it's become his main selling point. White people always get more praise for "sounding black" than black people do.
If a young male black artist sang this, I doubt it would have been nearly as big or have had half the longevity.

I'm definitely burnt on this song now. And I agree that this song wouldn't've been as big if he wasn't white.
