When this starts on the radio sometimes I think I'm about to hear "Secrets" by OneRepublic. Very similar opening chords and style.

This is going to be big. Maybe not a Hot 100 #1 but a definite Top 10.

It will be interesting to see how this does. I don't think another Hot 100 #1 is completely out of the question. This definitely won't tank.

I think Top 5 is probable and #1 depends on if the sales and airplay peaks occur at the same time or not.

I can see this doing very well coming off "Rolling In The Deep". However, I wish she would've gone with "Rumor Has It" for the summer and released this in the Fall.

This is a slow burn song. This can last her just as long as Rolling in the Deep. Everyone I know who has bought her album absolutely loves this song. I think when this song hits it will be her signature song. Adele is a singer and as a singer she can sell a ballad at any point.

This is already her signature song in the UK.
I definitely think it will be huge on radio in the US from August til Christmas.

I saw her live a few weeks ago and this was her 2nd to last song. Everyone in the audience was singing along. It's one of those songs that will strike a chord with anyone who hears it.

The great news is that Adele is back and singing again! She turned up unexpectedly at G-A-Y Heaven in London on Saturday night. The crowd seemed to like her rendition of SLY, lol. this sort of demonstrates that this is her signature song because the crowd here didn't go to see an Adele concert, the big rumour was that the 'secret guest' was Janet Jackson then up steps Adele!! So to get a singalong like this shows how many people know the lyrics to this song.

I like this over "Set Fire to the Rain" as a single. Her voice is her best attribute and this shows that way more.

I think this is boring compared to SFTTR and RITD

Amazing gig at iTunes Festival yesterday. Significantly, she decided to end the gig with SLY and not RITD. Prediction time: SLY will buck the trend for ballads in the US and claim the #1 spot, though probably not until early-mid Fall. It's just such a killer song that is so relatable to millions. Just listen to the crowd singing along here.

^ That's what I mean. Everyone who has the album loooves this song and it's what she uses to close out her live shows. And everyone knows all the words. This is destined to become a hit.

I agree- with her momentum this song would go to #1. I think replacing it with SFTTR is a mistake.

Agreed. I hope they're not worried this song is too slow. I can see it catching on the same way "My Immortal" did nearly a decade ago.
