Billboard had a note that said this is the only song in Hot 100 history to get to #1 that only features a singer and a piano. I think that's a fascinating stat. Really? That's amazing... but surely there must have been some in the 40's, 50's, 60's, etc?

Thing is there doesn't seem any sort of real threat from elsewhere - SLY could be #1 for weeks!! That's true. It seems set to dominate because of lack of competition. I just think Rihanna's new single with Calvin Harris will get to #1 somehow, her label is notorious for its tricks. Another outside threat is the David Guetta/Usher song. Even so, those songs are weeks away from #1 if they should ever even get there.

So happy for her. As fantastic as "Rolling in the Deep" was, this deserves to be the #1 song of the year IMO.

This is going to keep Gym Class out of #1. Thank God! Not that I hate the Gym Class song, it just doesn't have #1 written on it.

I can't see anything that will depose it anytime soon, to be honest. The ones coming close in sales (by close I mean within 25%!) are many millions behind in airplay.
