Mind you I already expect January 2009 will see record low sales - especially with Woolworths gone and their 15% share in the CD market. I saw their closure scheduleand it's MASSIVE. They are pretty much in every town in the UK, even the smaller ones where there aren't record shops like HMV or Zavvi that people can easily buy CDs from... Zavvi (formerly Virgin megastore) have also gone into administration this morning.

It's already #28 on iTunes (Ireland).

Wow, some decent sales for once. What recession?!? Mind you I already expect January 2009 will see record low sales - especially with Woolworths gone and their 15% share in the CD market.

At school we always changed the lyrics to "get ready for your lunch" *blip, blip, blip etc.*

I'm really enjoying this beautiful song at the moment, I can't really believe that Alessi is only just 18 years old. "The Horse" is very short at just 1 minute 50 seconds, infact it's probably a bit too short really but there's some longer and even better tracks on the EP! Here's the video:

YAY! Nu Bloc Party. Actually a pretty decent playlist for once. I think Lady GaGa will definitely be on the A-list on the next update (after Christmas).

I heard this on Zane Lowe the other night and really enjoyed it. It's due for release on 2nd February 2009 and is already on Radio 1's 1-Upfront part of their playlist. ;D The highly anticipated debut album Love and War should follow shortly after.

Are they actually going to release this one as a physical single, or are they going to ignore their fans yet again by making it bloody download-only? It's a download-only single aka "flop". [09/02] Grrr! FOUR download-only singles from this era!? They are mega-rich and can afford to make losses on nice pretty physical releases and give us some B-sides Chris!! I'm not happy.

If it does it will really annoy someone I know who placed a 10/1 bet on Leona being the Christmas No.2 !

This was the ONLY single that HMV was selling today (apart from "Hero" by the X-Factor Finalists!), it made me sad because it means that CD singles are now officially dead, and the Christmas No.1 is once again going to be an average cover. Jeff Buckley is up to No.3 in the midweeks, but the OCC are investigating multiple downloading by the same buyers which may make his version chart ineligible. Leonard Cohen's original is also set to make the Top 40!!

Compared to "Wearing My Rolex" this is really average.

^Agreed - they obviously tried to recreate "Call The Shots". It's worked though - this is great!

This is really good, love the false ending - then it explodes into the chorus one final time! Brilliant.
I like this a lot more than "Kiss with a Fist".

Excellent single choice - this is due 8th December, and the label are going to give this one a big 'push' so I hope it can be the single that gets her noticed.
