I like the clip. Looking forward to it.

Kem has always been a little boring to me and this is no exception. But UAC loves him.

Leaked!!! Solid album, not as good as their first, but there are definitely some standout tracks. I don't think there's a radio hit on it, though.

Bloc Party's frontman is dropping his first solo album on June 21. Not a bad idea. Even though I think Bloc Party's newer stuff is still pretty strong, I kind of consider the band a sinking ship from a commercial standpoint.
Anyway, this new album is supposedly a departure from the Bloc Party sound, full of synths and 2-step beats. Can't wait!
Here's the lead single "Tenderoni." Not sure what I think yet. I can imagine it being hot in a club, but I'm not sure how radio will react.... Thoughts? (Wait until 0:55 before making judgments)

I had forgotten all about this. Hot!

Yawn! I don't think it's wise for unestablished urban artists to come with lead singles this poppy.

Yeah, I remember hearing this on the radio a lot. But I never really cared for it all that much. The funny thing is that I remember thinking at the time that the whole Mariah Carey feud was so incredibly played out... Yet, even in 2009, he resurrected it AGAIN for "Bagpipes from Baghdad."
Pathetic.

Even though this wound up being a big hit, I'm still glad it wasn't the lead single. It's too poppy to be the lead single for an urban-based artist.

Lyrically, I think it's an excellent song. But the album version is bland. The Above & Beyond remix (the one they use in the video) is great.

Yeah, this is nice. But the singles from the next album are so good that I forget about her earlier songs.

Never cared much for this one. But I do like the other singles from the first album.

New album is out now. I thought it was coming out in June, but apparently they rush released it because it leaked online.
Just like the first album, it's going to take me a while to warm up to this.

Went to #6 in the UK last week. But this week it rockets #50 --> #15 in the UK airplay charts. I wonder whether it'll outdo #6 next week.

This is turrrrible.... And I was expecting to like it because she's had so many great cameos.

This is actually one of my favorites from her. I mean, it pales in comparison to the others from the first album. But I still prefer it to most of the songs she's released since then.

I don't like this either. Her voice is whispery and thin -- even more so than usual.

This was hot at the time. But it hasn't aged well -- just like Lil' Kim.

I actually think Madonna's second singles are as detrimental as Mariah's. I mean she had at least 3 radio hits on Hard Candy and went with f**king "Give it to Me"? She could have gotten at least top 10 with "Beat Goes On" or Top 20 with "Devil..." Yeah, GI2M was a good choice for European second single, but made no sense for the US. I even think "Miles Away" would have made a better US single choice.

I can't look at the cover without being reminded of Nirvana.

This album is such a void. It's pretty much background music. Yeah, I feel the same way. The songs are fairly well-written and melodic. But because of the bad mixing, it's the kind of album that's so bland you forget it's even playing after about ten minutes.
