I hope she can come with something reasonably good this time around. She could at least turn the Nicki Minaj feud into some decent pre-release publicity. This might be a decent chance to get a hit.

I really like this, but it doesn't feel like a hit to me. Hope I'm wrong, because I really like his sound.

I'm not big on the song. But it's amazing to think she used to be able to sing like this LIVE. The Whitney in that video is long dead.

Unless it's something he recorded before the mid-1990s, it's almost guaranteed to suck.

This is pretty horrific. But there's no way it won't be a huge #1. They're too hot right now.
Listening to this, I think they were smart to strike again with an album this year. They've basically perfected electronic hip-pop and might as well churn out more hits in this vein until people get tired of it.
But they should definitely change up their style after this album.

Randomly, I wonder whether this will give her a much-needed hit in Japan. They apparently ate up the first Merry Xmas album. I think it's her most successful there by a longshot.

I loved this group back in 2007, but had given up on getting a second album from them. BUT, according to their website, they've got one cooking.
The lead single is "Tokyo (Vampires & Wolves)" and I'm really feeling it. It sounds like their earlier material but with a little more polish.

I liked the last album, but damn I need a break.

Nice! I used to skip this one all the time, but I love it now.
This might break his US top 10 streak though, since it already charted back in April as a promo single. The song may not be completely new and fresh to people.

(1) That beat bangs. I would be ecstatic if we got a hot song from her. It's been a long time. (2) If this does well, she should really be prepared to release a HOT album in the first half of next year.

I'm actually excited. I feel like the only one who thought his last album was stellar.

I agree. If she got the right song and the right publicity, she could definitely have another hit.
The problem with her is that she hasn't changed her style at all since like 2001. She's just not interesting anymore. Yawn!

This may grow on me. But I think this single is perfectly timed with "Magic" blowing up at radio.

If you've ever been into psychedelic rock -- like the Beatles, the Mamas & The Papas or even early Beck -- then you may just like Tame Impala as much as I do. This is a band out of Perth that released its awesome debut album in May. Even with all the retro influences, they still sound undeniably modern.
I've had this album on repeat for the last couple of days. Nothing on it is radio-ready, but it's one of the best best-produced rock albums in my collection.
They managed to debut at #4 in Australia, but I don't know where else the album has been released. Get on board.
Check out the video below for the lead single "Solitude Is Bliss" . It's definitely not the best song on the album, but it gives you a decent idea of their sound.

Sometimes I hate falling in love with bands before they've released anything, because it'll be a long excruciating wait for an album. That's exactly the problem I'm having with Moon Visionaries. This is another London-based indie band. Their music is mostly chill guitar riffs and mellow vocals. Imagine Jet on muscle relaxants. They've got no album and no single yet, but you can download some demos from their Twitter page: twitter.com/moonvisionariesHere's my favorite of their songs: "Mr. Hollywood." It's been out a long time, but I'm just catching wind of it.

Yeah the track is better than the vocals. I would love to hear someone like Alex Turner lay down vocals over this track. But nonetheless I do like it on first listen.

Yeah this is Nicki's best cameo (or maybe just on par with "Lil' Freak"). In fact, I wish she had all the verses and Trey was just singing the hook.

Thanks. I like this, especially "Hey You" and "Out Of Control." Feel free to share others. I'm starved for good new bands.
