I like the part where she says "b*tches". I like most of the song except how it ends.

I didn't give this much of a chance when it came out because "Without Me" grated on my nerves so bad, I couldn't even deal with his voice for a long time. This is one of the most solid rap hits of the decade though. I felt the exact same way.

If a sexier song has ever been recorded, I sure as hell haven't heard it. I think "Lets Get It On" is sexier, but only by a little.

This was a weird song, with an even wierder video! the song also featured Carly Simon in the chorus and some other parts.
I had mixed feelings about this, parts of the song were catchy, but at the same time it just didn't sound like single material to me. A mess.

I don't really like this, the spoken word during the middle was so cheesy. Reminded of Brtiney's "Oops!"

I have NOT heard "Table Scraps". I'm still debating whether they belong in the indie board or not.

Yeah, that album is brilliant. I'm just SO glad Joanna Newsom didn't win. Her album is one of the most overrated pieces of sh*t I have EVER heard. Haha, true.

Husband and wife duo composed of Sean and Juliette Beavan whose music has been featured on TV series like One Tree Hill and Grey's Anatomy. Its not as cheesy as it seems. This music does pack a lot of emotional value and can be compared to Portishead, Garbage, and Zero 7. I wont write a review but short descriptions of every song now that I'm familiar with the album. 1. "No Way Back" - the vocals make this song. Of course, the strings give it a nice touch but its all about how Juliette uses her soothing voice that make this song a strong way to start out the record. 2. "Bones" - Although its hard to recognize the melody, the dark mood is what gives this song life. 3. "You Know" - the most "femme fatale" song on the album. Its the sexier and most traditional in terms of its rock vibe. 4. "Stunning" - doesn't really live up to its title. Too repetitive at the end. This is the part where the album gets a little annoying. 5. "Never Enough" - She whines too much here. The light electric guitar climax makes up for it though, so its not all bad. 6. "Liar" - A more mellow song, but this is where the album gets good again. As a band that took its name from a movie, this is a song that fits perfectly with their cinematic theme. 7. "Quicksand" - the song that could give them a big hit. The melody and Coldplay-esque guitars is what could put this song in the same league with some of the best Adult Alternative hits this decade. 8, "Angel" - A haunting lullaby. It really does sound like a song they would sing to their child before going to bed. If they have any, that is. 9. "Give It Up" - The whole album has light electronic touches, but its in this song where you notice it more. Even so, the electric guitar completely takes over gives this song a satisfying end. 10. "Forever and Ever Amen" - I wasn't prepared to hear a man sing, but wow, was I impressed. Sean should definitely sing more. We barely hear Juliette in this acoustic guitar driven song that is surrounded by some atmospheric arrangements. 11. "Hidden Track" - We hear this folky/country song after the long silence in the previous track. Its a duet, so we hear the beautiful voices of Sean and Juliette Beavan. myspace.com/8mm
