The pre-chorus of this song sounds just like "St Elmo's Fire." LOL, a little bit. The video was smart in embracing the cheese-factor of this song. But one of her guitar players is a dead ringer for the singer from Midnight Oil.

It broke through. Top 20 now, decent sales. Good for him!

Thomas has said not to expect anything that resembles the "pop sounds" of this album. That worked out well for MGMT. Oh wait, no it didn't . Gross.

Great bassline. Debuts in the Top 40 this week. This is becoming a nice little crossover hit for them. Solid album as well.

Something to look for when it gets released tomorrow. This will serve as the first (U.S.) single for their re-purposed 4th album. I like this much more than "Little Shocks."

As much as I love the new album, I do have a minor complaint that it's hard to pull out most of the songs and listen to them on their own. When a song from this album comes up on shuffle it's usually a waste.

You'd think the new album would be done by now. High expectations.

I like some of the Skrillex remix, but with all of the Dubstep remixes these days I find half of it incredibly irritating.
I feel like this has been on the verge of breaking out forever.

First Kelly Clarkson song I've liked in a long time. This should be big for her. Also, anyone notice the backing synths on the chorus are almost identical to MGMT's "Kids"?

First single off their 4th album Port of Morrow. They released this today and it officially goes for adds next week. I shouldn't over-hype songs I've only heard a few times, but I absolutely love this. It might be my favorite single from them yet. It has a little bit of a 70's classic rock feel to it, but it's undeniably still Shins-sounding. Until there's a better link, Rolling Stone has it up on their soundcloud w/ article: www.rollingstone.com/music/news/listen-the-shins-bold-new-single-simple-song-20120109

Released last week. I don't like this band, but I do really like this song. By far and away my favorite by them.

I actually think this is the best single she's released from the album, but as the fifth single from such an erratic era, I'm not surprised it missed the Top 10. If they released this second instead of that damn "Judas," I bet it would have gone Top 3 and she would have sustained a lot more momentum. I agree completely.

Thrilled this is starting to do something. Love this song. They're like the icelandic version of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes but better.

I love fun. They do have a decent indie following ("All the Pretty Girls" was their big song on their last album) but they're really a love them or hate them kind of band. Their singer was in The Format, but I think they're on a major label now and we're seeing success on account of Glee Happy to see this doing well, it's a nice song. They have a tendency to be a little on the annoying side, but it's toned down here. "Walking The Dog" is my favorite single by them and a good example of that

I heard this about 20 times while I was in Vegas for 11.11.11 weekend. I couldn't remember what the name of it was until I came back here on Soundcheck and realized, "Oh, it's that song again" This song feels so much older than it is.

A couple of weeks ago this looked like a failure. But it's rebounded a lot and in the Top 20 this week. I hope they keep up this momentum!

This has been floating just outside the Top 50 for the past few weeks and I'm hoping it can finally break through. I'm not a huge fan of most of their prior singles, but this is too catchy not to like. Unfortunately it's just not appropriate for any of the formats. Also, I'm getting major Swing Out Sister flashbacks here.

Damn I wish this got so much bigger. These guys are amazing! I am now obsessed with "Undercover Martyn" again and their version of Phoenix's "Lasso." Looks like they're pushing "Undercover Martyn" now. They didn't really have another choice for a single at this point, but I'm happy they're at least trying to follow up on this single's success. The album is too good to not have more exposure.

I think it will take a while, but this should do well. This sounds enough like Foster The People that it will find its audience.

I was surprised they didn't play this on SNL last week, but then they played 'Houdini' with special guest Kenny G. It was sort of great, I think.
