Does this song remind anyone else of Nicole's "Whatever U Like?"

I believe there was a Chris Brown song that did something similar, not to mention that MIMS song that sampled like five different classic hip hop songs.
Supposedly Interscope didn't send this to radio until 9p last night. I'm starting to worry that radio might not give this the time of day...

I agree completely with the first two lines. What on earth is going on with her voice? I said earlier that this had the potential to be really hot or really messy, and she realized both.
It's very fathomable that this could bomb off the face of the earth, but somehow I'm holding out hope that radio will bite. Definitely didn't work to their advantage that this leaked the same day as Maroon 5's new one, because that's clearly grabbing the radio/media hype.

This is finally growing on me. I don't know if it'll be a #1, but it's not out of the picture. At the very least, it'll be another "Don't Stop The Music." Girls will eat this up.

This is not what I was expecting, but that's a good thing. It's the best of their songs in this vein ("Never Gonna Leave This Bed," "Won't Go Home Without You"). Wiz was completely unnecessary and adds nothing whatsoever, so I'll be seeking out the HAC edit.

Already added at Z100, KIIS, Y100 and FLZ. Looks like radio has just been waiting for the right single...

I'd rather they didn't go the Wiz Khalifa route. This will be interesting.

This song is totally awful and I'm very sick of J. Lo's corporate manufactured comeback. Agree both that the chorus is horrible and that this is no "On The Floor."

She seems like a really annoying person.
Which might extend to the song. I'm going to withhold judgment until I hear the whole thing, because it sounds like there's some potential for quality but also some potential to be really irritating. It reminds me of something off Fergie's album.
Either way, I bet this will be THE hula hoop anthem of 2012. LOL

This came on at a particularly fratty bar last night. Needless to say, the place went nuts. This is a smash.

I just heard "Say It Right" on Star 94 today and was wondering what the hell happened after Loose. That title sounds a bit...whack, but so did "Promiscuous" so we'll see. I fear radio has probably lost interest.

Everything about this song and this girl, mostly her name, reminds me of the third-rate Britney knockoffs labels were pushing around 2001 (Lindsay Pagano, Ashley Ballard, Brooke Allison, etc.)
This song is seriously annoying and childish but also undeniably catchy. All of the college girls around here are singing it, so it's clearly connected with the target audience.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to state that while I've openly pleaded with Top 40 to move on from the turbo dance-pop craze, I wasn't remotely hoping that they'd pick bubblegum teen pop as the replacement. Sadly, that seems to be where we're heading...

Headed to Pop on May 8th. This era has been so disorganized and I still can't believe TTT wasn't a smash, but I'm guessing this will turn things around.

This is one of the worst songs I've heard all year. The beat is obnoxious, the sample is laughable, and don't get me started on that horrible and superfluous dubstep breakdown. Pitbull needs to be sent to the corner for a little while.

As anticipated, this is a shameless ploy at being JT part 2, but it's far and away the best thing he's ever recorded. The beat is actually hot and the chorus and outro are nice, but the verses are irredeemably embarrassing.
I have a feeling this will be his first honest smash.

This might make me officially certifiable, but I really want Bieber to release a version with those lyrics for comedic value. Jokes aside for a moment, I saw a CHR PD mention in his Twitter that this sounded like a JT track. His handlers are obviously astute, so I'm sure they're gonna start positioning Bieber as the next Timberlake with this album. If the song's decent, I definitely could imagine this being his biggest Pop hit yet and the start of a long-term career Anyway, it hits iTunes Monday. Here's a snippet: ...and here are the lyrics: VERSE 1If I was your boyfriend, I'd never let you go I can take you places you ain't never been before Baby take a chance or you’ll never ever know I got money in my hands that I'd really like to blow Swag swag swag, on you Chillin by the fire why we eatin' fondue I dunno about me but I know about you So say hello to falsetto in three two PRE HOOKI'd like to be everything you want Hey girl, let me talk to you HOOKIf I was your boyfriend, never let you go Keep you on my arm girl, you'd never be alone I can be a gentleman, anything you want If I was your boyfriend, I'd never let you go, I'd never let you go VERSE 2Tell me what you like yeah tell me what you don’t I could be your Buzz Lightyear fly across the globe I don’t never wanna fight yeah, you already know I am ‘ma a make you shine bright like you’re laying in the snow Burr Girlfriend, girlfriend, you could be my girlfriend You could be my girlfriend until the ---- world ends Make you dance do a spin and a twirl and Voice goin crazy on this hook like a whirl wind Swaggie PRE HOOKI’d like to be everything you want Hey girl, let me talk to you HOOKIf I was your boyfriend, never let you go Keep you on my arm girl you’d never be alone I can be a gentleman, anything you want If I was your boyfriend, I’d never let you go, I’d never let you go BRIDGESo give me a chance, ‘cause you’re all I need girl Spend a week wit your boy I’ll be calling you my girlfriend If I was your man, I’d never leave you girl I just want to love you, and treat you right HOOKIf I was your boyfriend, never let you go Keep you on my arm girl you’d never be alone I can be a gentleman, anything you want If I was your boyfriend, I’d never let you go, never let you go Na na na, na na na, na na na Ya girl Na na na, na na na, na na na ey Na na na, na na na, na na na ey Na na na, na na na, na na na ey If I was your boyfriend

This is one of the most painfully cheesy songs I've ever heard, and I can't even make it through 10 seconds. Having said that, both of my sisters have made unsolicited comments about how much they love this, so Hot AC is probably smart to be throwing their support behind it.

Collapsing just inside the Top 20. Although I like this stupid song, its death means less exposure for Chris and this tired style of music, so I won't lose any sleep.

Looks like this year's "Rolling In The Deep." I really like this song and I'm glad Pop radio is embracing it, but I can tell that I'll find it nauseating two months from now.

What's the difference between appearing on tracks by the most commercial of commercial artists and showing up in a video?

I realize I say this every time he releases a new song, but this might be his best single yet (thanks mostly to Sia). It just hit the Top 20 but it's slowed down slightly - hopefully he breaks his one-smash-per-era curse.
That being said, why does the record label continue to hand this guy hits? Smash after smash after smash, and he's still an anonymous. He could release "Thriller" and no one would give a sh*t about him. Why not give the hits to someone who might actually forge an artistic identity and leave the scrap material to Flo?

These kids are really likable and I guess the song's not terrible, but the "quirky" flourishes - namely, the "Cheerio" and rap breakdown - are absolutely embarrassing. If they ditched them, I could somewhat get behind this.
