Not feeling this. Too novelty, even for someone who's about to be headed to college myself.
Regardless, this is fourth most added at Pop this week with 12 stations, including Q102 and Y100.

I hate having to make these posts every week...third most added at Pop with 23 new stations. The biggest new names are KBKS, WBLI, and WNCI - but that's mostly because the majority of major markets are already on board

With 35 new stations this week, Soulja Boy takes the most added crown at Pop. Now on board: KISS/Chicago, Kiss 108, Q100 and KRBE. This isn't a terrible song (relatively speaking), but it really doesn't deserve these sorts of numbers.

Second greatest gainer at Alternative! (It's worth noting that the greatest gainer is Pearl Jam with an instant impact 700-something bullet, difficult to top that). Hopefully this follows "Sex On Fire" to #1 eventually!

Hate it. I remember hearing this for the first time when I was 7 and bought the first "Now!" album. Needless to say, my reaction to the lyrics was a resounding "WTF." (Well, not exactly WTF, I was 7. LOL) Anyway, I still can't stand this.

This is HILARIOUS, but this type of humor is directly up my alley. It's just so random and over-the-top.
"I'm on a dolphin doin' flips and sh*t..." "POSEIIIIDON, look at me!"

It pains me to say it, but Jive probably made the right call with this single choice, risky as it was airplay-wise. The other day I was walking into the lunchroom and directly ahead of me were two junior guys who - well, let's just say they aren't the Britney Spears type. Anyway, they were clearly talking about how "awesome" this song was, so I go, "Are you guys talking about that Britney song?" And they're like "Yeah man, it's so creative, obviously she didn't write it but whoever came up with that idea was really smart." ROTFL.
Then later in the car, my dad's flipping stations on XM and passes by 20 on 20. Guess what pops up? "Britney Spears - If U Seek Amy." Not "see," "seek." My older younger (that sounds awkward, LOL) sister and I traded meaningful glances, and my seventh grader sister goes, "If You Seek Amy? Is she a lesbian?" clearly not catching the double entendre. Thankfully my dad changed the station before I had to explain any further.

I'm so upset that this is actually semi-successful. I was really hoping radio would ignore this like they did for that "You Don't Know" song. Still holding out hope that it'll be a stiff, though.

This is really picking up again. I'm not as blown away by this as I was on the first few listens, but it's still a great Pop song. Looking like the most likely candidate for #1 after AAR, too.

I mean, I was cringing at certain points when this came on yesterday. Maybe it was my first time really paying attention or making it through the entire song, but this song is NOT made for someone on her skill level.

Congrats, Britney! Very well-deserved #1.
You know what's interesting? I was sitting in the KISSFM studio the other day and the cover story of the February 21 issue was "Britney Spears - Inside an American Tragedy." A year later (basically to the day), look at her. What an unbelievable comeback.

I heard this on the radio yesterday morning. It wasn't my first time hearing the song, but I was appalled at how horrendous the vocals sounded on the air. This'll be done soon.

PLEASE be a hit. I love when quality Alternative material crosses over to Top 40, and this certainly fits the bill.
Usually the rock stuff that succeeds at Pop is more generic, active-leaning (Saving Abel, Three Days Grace, Nickelback...). This being the case, I think a Top 30 appearance would be a small victory for Carolina Liar.

Hot production of course, but I really could do without the "disco stick" line. Maybe there will be a radio edit?

24 hours later and I have a new song of the moment. It's been on repeat all weekend, I can't believe I disliked this for so long! Beyond catchy, slick production - the ideal pop/rock song. Great that this is going to be their biggest hit (so far).

Not happening. Radio gave them another chance because "I Hate This Part" is a solid song, but they're completely squandering another chance at a hit. There's a small part of me that understands them trying to capitalize upon the movie hype; that doesn't entitle them to release a clusterf**k like this.

I'm slowly but surely becoming obsessed with this. Figures. I could still do without the chanted chorus, but the rest of the song is catchy enough that I don't particularly mind.
Must be pretty miserable being one of the Rejects' exes at the moment. Heh.

That's not exactly painting an accurate picture. She was adamant about keeping her "goodies in the jar."

LOL...My PD showed me a press release regarding this song when I was at the station today, and my instinctive response was "WTF? Where did THIS come from?" Sounds like any generic Justin/wannabe Prince track; still, I think it's catchy enough to be a hit. Her career basically depends on it at this point.
And not that I'm a prude, but when did she become so raunchy? First she came out the gate bragging about being "super sexual" in "Go Girl," now this song chock full of sexual references...odd.

Added at Z100 and 22 others (Houston, Detroit and Tampa among them) to make this third most added at CHR this week. I can't believe he's shaping up to have another hit, let alone a semi-legitimate one.

PLEASE NO. I really can't envision this becoming a Pop smash, maybe Top 30 or so.
