This is not very good, but I can totally see them trying it as a single because they think it could be an anthem. Problem is, it doesn't even remotely fit in with radio in 2010.

This sounds like it should've been on Back to Basics.

I'm confused, he's clearly saying "aYaYa," but they decided to change the vowels in the name...why? He sounds indistinguishable from Bieber.
This is pretty awful. But the hook is going to be stuck in my head all day.

This is a great song. Better than "Nothin' On You" IMO, although I do like NOY. #1 was well deserved.

It's so summery. I think it's her best single.... but it's definitely not up there with "Empire State of Mind." I don't even know why she ever made such a comparison. Sure, they're both about big cities, but they are completely different songs. LOL...California is not a city.

Pfft, I'd rather hear KoL on this than Alicia

This is nice. Not very exciting, but I like it a lot.

I kind of like it. I was expecting more of the trippy body paint stuff, but I'm happy it wasn't the whole video.

I honestly can't decide whether or not I like this. The opening verse is almost unlistenable, but once the chorus opens up it's more enjoyable...but I'm not sure if it's because I actually like it or if it's just less painful than the verse. The production is interesting, but again I'm not sure if I actually like it or if it's just interesting because it's different from everything else on radio.

Holy crap he reminds me of Chris Brown when he first came out.

I really like this, but agreed that "You've Changed" was way better.

I can actually see Levine's voice sounding good on a country ballad, and I've yet to hear something from LA I didn't like at least a little.

The Urban remix completely kills the energy of the song; it's completely lifeless. Reminds me of the first time I heard Jeremih's "Birthday Sex" outside of a club...why would I want to listen to the boring-ass version when there's a hot club mix?

This is one of the messiest things I can remember hearing in a long time, but it's weirdly hot.

i love how she dares to attack her producers...write and produce your own music b*tch... she's so annoying. She does though. She has writing credit on all of My December, and featured quite a bit on AIEW. Not to mention, I'm willing to bet, all of the recent leaks. It's a slam at Ryan Tedder and her record label. Given the choice, I'm sure she would much rather not record any of their songs. I'm not sure I follow your point.

Michelle had a couple of decent-sized hits when all is said and done, plus a bit of a career resurgence with The Wreckers. Vanessa was a one-hit wonder.
Both still get attention from music blogs and message boards, despite being pretty much done. I see Sara doing the same thing...one-hit wonder who inexplicably still gets written about for years to come.

This isn't awful (although that "the club is alive with the sound of music" is really trying to get it there), but any one of the UK singles would've been a far better choice.

I like it a lot better in full. That being said, does anyone else hear the even MORE obvious "reference"? The synths in the verses are straight from Calvin Harris's "I'm Not Alone," minus a chord. Thank you! I knew I'd heard those chords before, but I couldn't place them to save my life.

Guetta isn't a bad direction for her. With the DWTS stuff, there's actually a slim chance she might possibly have a shot at getting a hit.

I didn't realize just how much of a slam this was against Tedder. She's not even trying to be subtle.

^ I actually agree, even if I do like this. "Dirty Picture" is an obvious follow up - it's hot and features Pop's current it girl. They can always send "Dynamite" for adds afterwards, once he's established himself a bit more.

I have a feeling she's going to be more of a Vanessa Carlton than a Michelle Branch.
